Somalis fired by Swift blame Hispanics and say they were harrassed

Now here comes yet another tale about the Greeley, CO meatpacker saga, this time published in The National from Abu Dhabi. (Hat tip:  Blulitespecial) Two of the most vocal Somalis fired by Swift this week got to tell a story in a friendly publication sure to fire up a sympathetic audience—-their Muslim brothers and sisters.   They say, the Hispanics are the problem and someone fondled  Muslim women’s breasts—now here we go.

First we have Somali Graen Isse.  I mentioned him here the other day.  He is in the news clip.

“I have been working in this country since I was 16,” says Graen Isse, who was informed this week that his job at the JBS Swift & Co. plant in Greeley, Colorado, had been terminated. “I have never faced anything like this.”

He apparently told The National reporter it’s the Mexicans’ fault.

Simmering tensions between Hispanic immigrants, mainly from Mexico, and Muslim factory workers, most of them Somalis, erupted during Islam’s holy month when the Muslim employees asked management to shift the break time on the afternoon shift to sunset.

And, he also says he isn’t leaving Greeley.

“I am staying in Greeley,” said Isse, who previously worked as a paralegal. “But I wouldn’t want to try a job with Swift again.”

Then we have Farhia Abdi of the fondled breasts.   She must be one of the three women mentioned in earlier reports who left work and went without permission to the locker room.  I also wonder if she is the woman in many of the photographs, the one who in an earlier news clip is distracted because her cell phone rings.  (CAIR calling?)

Farhia Abdi, who like Isse lost her job, said she and other women had their breasts fondled as they prayed in the plant’s locker rooms. She claimed male employees had been kicked while they knelt in prayer.

“It is part of our religion that you can’t talk or move while you pray,” said Abdi, who worked in Quality Assurance in her three months on the job with Swift.

Like Isse, Abdi had worked in other US firms, including major retailers like Macey’s and Target Superstores. “I always told my employers, ‘I am Muslim and I pray five times a day.’ No one ever had a problem with that, and I never even had to ask permission.”

It’s those bad Hispanics again.  What? No one has told all these immigrants that diversity is beautiful and multiculturalism rules in America!

Abdi and Isse claimed their attackers were mainly Mexican immigrants and described the two ethnic groups as battling over scarce jobs at the plant.

“This is mainly down to misunderstanding,” said Isse. “First we had an agreement and they told us we can have a break at 7.30. Then the Mexicans got together and said we don’t want a break at that time.”

Here is what I wonder, if Isse had been a paralegal and Abdi had good jobs where no one bugged her about her religion at Macy’s and Target, why are they both in Greeley at a meatpacking plant which by all accounts is one of the toughest places in America to work?   Could they be members of that most noble profession, community organizers?

    Clearly this is another example of Sharia creep. If anyone is wondering, here in San Diego all our cabs are run by either Ethiopia or Somalis and what matters even worse is that these groups have also segregated the Mosques so if a Somali walks into a Ethiopian Mosque war erupts on our soil.

    The Greeley Tribune IS deleting entire comments sections when they feel it’s not a nice”touchy-feely-warm-feeling”kind of comment they like to have.It’s been said here that individual comments are gone.I posted 2 comments,and mine plus a couple others are gone.No comments now at all at the article!   15. Islam isn’t a religion. Islam is an ideology like Nazism and Communism. Its doctrine is violent. A few passages out of 164 passages of the Qur’an, The Muslim War Manual follow:

    1.”Infidels are your sworn enemies,”(Sura 4 Verse 101).

    2. “Make war on the infidels around you,”(Sura 9 Verse 123 and Sura 66 Verse 9).

    3. “Be ruthless to the infidels,” (Sura 48 Verse 29).

    4. “Fight those who believe not Allah nor the Last Day,” (Sura 9 Verse 29).

    5. “Take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends,” (Sura 5 Verse 61 and Sura 60 Verse 13d).

    6. “Kill the disbelievers wherever you find them,” (Sura 2 Verse 191).

    7. “The unbelievers are the worst of beasts in the eyes of Allah,” (Sura 8 Verse 55).

    So now can you see why bad Muslims are always warring against us? That’s their “religion.”

    Greetings:

    I think the non-Muslims need to make a “hostile work environment” complaint against Swift for accommodating a religion that calls for the conversion, subjugation or execution of non-believers.

    I’m sure that Swift wouldn’t allow the KKKlan to hold “chapel” meetings in their plant or allow neo-Nazis to wear their uniforms on Hitler’s birthday.

    It’s time for some aggressive counter-jihad lawfare for a change.

    The legal folks are weighing in on this now.It’s looking mighty grim for people that want to run the timing of the production line for their religion.Since this is around a month,it’s a safe bet(guess) that this odd scheduling would screw up the company profit margin by 5% to 10%.As tight as the profit margin is in any packing house,this will put them out of business.I’ve read it is OK to skip prayers because of job or business requirements.Has anyone seen the foot baths in East Africa and other muslim countries? I’ve read they don’t have them in many countries.(I’m serious,never been there-is this normal?)Or are they installed only in the West to wash the stench of infidels away before prayer?I’ve repaired and replaced a lot of water lines in the factories and for city water supplies.What happens,does Swift have a riot because the water to a locker room and an office is off for an hour? What did they do for water in the desert? ….much less a job…
    Come on people-this is the industrialized 21st century- not crushing rocks in the 7th.
    Anyway-this article has some insight into the inner-workings of situations like this happening at Greeley.Note that the company must negotiate with the union bargaining committee,not the “community organizers”.

    “From a labor-relations standpoint, they have a duty to bargain with the union over all conditions of employment, which would include any prayer requests,” Asensio said. “There’s no question about that.” ”

    The story gets changed aa lot by this guy Isse.Also,as I recall-ALL restrooms and breakrooms are closed quite often in factories for cleaning between break times.When food is involved this includes a lot of cleaning by only a few people.Certain standards have to be maintained by a small janitorial staff-and these people were supposed to be on the line working.They walked away.Also,the company can not negotiate a change in the conditions (breaktimes)without the company and the union mutually agreeing to open the contract to negotiations,then the talks begin-changes decided on-then those changes are brought before the membership.
    Bottom line-They walked off the job.They decided the talks with their community organizers were “binding”. Wrong.

    “The workers say there’s a good reason they walked out on Friday. “The bathroom was closed, the restroom was closed, the girls who were praying were kicked. We got eyewitness,” said Graen Isse, a fired worker. “The people couldn’t take that so we got out. We signed no contract that said we can’t pray.”
