Somali suicide bomber given decent burial in Minnesota

A reminder Dec. 5th: A reader has just reminded me to tell new readers that as many as 80% of the Somali refugees entering the US may have done so illegally, here.

You gotta be kidding! This guy, 27 years old, blows himself to bits and takes along 29 other people (I bet there were women and kids among those killed) and our FBI scoops up the body parts and brings them to Minnesota for a funeral. I wonder what that cost the US taxpayer? Have we gone completely around the bend?
And then, would reporters find someone other than Omar Jamal to speak for the Somalis. Jamal was found guilty in 2003 of immigration fraud and ordered deported. Hat tip: Blulitespecial.

Community activist Omar Jamal is one of the few who will.
“Honestly I look at him seriously as a victim and not as a criminal, I think of him as a young victim,” says Jamal.
A victim? The killer was a victim? He was 27 years old, not 17. Jamal, that doesn’t make him a ”kid!” If the killer is the victim, what does that make the 29 people he murdered? Aren’t they the real victims?
Nobody made this 27-year-old American citizen go to Somalia. This is just infuriating. Stop all Muslim immigration to the US or we will be seeing more decent burials for American suicide bombers.

WOW… You guys are LAME…. haha thats coming from a freshman in high-school. I love how you guys think all muslims are the same. As if we don’t have our own opinions or thoughts… As the saying goes DON’T paint us with the same brush. I am in all honor classes. Involved in many extra curricular activities and do various sports. I was Born in the USA therefore I am a US citizen despite whatever religion I choose to practice. I condemn Shirwa Ahmed’s actions. I don’t think he is innocent. He is a dumb ass. What kind of person kills them selves not to mention others for this ill conceived notion of “jihad”. Anyone that does not believe in what the US stands for should leave asap. Granny, let’s not be ignorant. Muslims are not against Jesus. They believe Jesus was a prophet of God. They just don’t believe that he was THE prophet, so to speak.
I disagree with Omar Jamal that the bomber was a victim. He was a perpetrator. There are cases though in which terrorists, too cowardly to carry out their evil deeds on their own, seek out vulnerable adults, i.e. mentally impaired, mentally-ill depressed and otherwise, etc., to be the delivery mechanism for the bomb. Those people ARE victims along with those who are targeted by the bombs.
Also, let’s stop lumping all Muslims together. Muslim terrorists are no more representative of Muslims as a whole as Christian terrorists in Northern Ireland, the Basque of Spain, or the Oklahoma City bombers are representative of Christians as a whole.

To label this character a victim is totally insane. He was a terrorist murderer nothing more. His body parts should have been left where they fell.
Here is a suggestion on Muslim immigration. Let Christian families immigrate to the US in an exchange package. If a Christian family seeks to immigrate from, say Egypt, process it and send an Egyptian Muslim family back in exchange.

Mars, It really is a puzzle why he is found in many news stories on Somalis—he even got involved in that Denver Somali Cyanide death last August and immediately reported that the dead guy was just a nut and not a terrorist.
That Denver guy, the one who died with enough cyanide to kill hundreds was from Canada and what a coincidence that Jamal reportedly entered the US through Canada.
Either Jamal just has a huge ego and a following with the lazy mainstream media, or maybe he has a more important job—leading everyone away from the real story?
Are we sure all the missing Somalis have left the country?

when will the local media STOP using Omar Jamal as the representative of the Somali Community and recognize him for the person he is, a fraudster and someone living outside the law? A real investigative journalist would be smart to do an in-depth story on Mr. Jamal and how he manages to remain in the U.S. and put his personal spin on every Somali story that comes down the pike. Is it just because he’s fluent in English (I know how local tv and other journalists like to take the easy way out with people like him, who are only too eager to become the spokesperson, regardless of their credentials). People like Jamal are part of the problem. they should not be ever seen as part of the solution.
