Lutherans call for 200,000 refugees to be admitted to US in 2016 including 100,000 Syrians

A reader has just alerted us to yet another federal refugee contractor, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS), one-upping the other two contractors we have reported on, here and here both demanding that Obama admit 65,000 Syrians in FY2016.  We thought those were outrageous demands!

Linda Hartke, CEO of LIRS, sent out the urgent e-mail to their members. LIRS is approximately 97% funded with your tax dollars!

But get this…..

LIRS wants 100,000 Syrians!  Either they are completely insane or they know Obama is on the edge and needs a little push! Maybe if they say 100,000, Obama will settle for 65,000!

Here is what our reader says was in his e-mail alert:

“Refugees fleeing Syria need you.

I am asking you to join us with three simple actions that can make a real difference:

Act – In response to this global refugee crisis, the largest since World War II, you can urge the President and Congress to increase the annual refugee admissions goal, or “Presidential Determination” from the 2015 number of 70,000 to 200,000 for 2016 and prioritize receiving 100,000 Syrian refugees in this number.

Click here to send to urge President Obama and Congress to increase the number of refugees resettled this year and to prioritize Syrians.

We’ve been telling you about the importance of the timing on all this right now with the “Presidential Determination” due to be sent to Congress for “consultation” within a couple of weeks.  The escalating migrant crisis in Europe isn’t helping either.

This will be a great test for the Republicans running Congress—will they once again rubber stamp what Obama wants?

  1. Hijrah is the Islamic doctrine of migration, which is a form of stealth jihad.

“To emigrate in the cause of Allah – that is, to move to a new land in order to bring Islam there, is considered in Islam to be a highly meritorious act,” Spencer wrote. He cited the following Quranic text:

“And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many locations and abundance,” says the Quran. “And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful” (Quran 4:100).

  2. OT – back to the illegal alien issue: Illegal alien felon can not be deported back to Mexico because he is transgendered. Expect this to become a more popular reason/excuse used by those seeking to stop their deportation or to seek refugee/asylum status:

A federal appeals court has ruled that an illegal immigrant and convicted felon can’t be deported back to Mexico because he identifies as a transgender woman, which leaves him vulnerable to torture back in his home country.

  3. I hope that we bring in a huge number. Just look at the pictures f the camps and the children-if your heart does not break when you see families and that little boys picture, there is clearly something missing in your sense of humanity. I am confident that there will be at least 70,000 refuees again next fiscal year. I believe more Americans have big hearts. Your pockets of resistance will fail-I too would like some changes in the program but not at the cost of hurting families. I have a different perspectives on single men. ilsamaphobia is no different than Anti Semitism or anti Catholic as was the case in the last century. It is immoral to categorize all Muslims as bad. Even if 10% supported terrorism or Sharia, what about the other 90%? Our biggest problems are race and extremism tied to trace on both sides and right wing extremists of all sorts as well as mental health issues. I am scared that there may be more Dylan Roof kinds out there as well as those like Shannon Miles etc. I pledge to help Syrian families as I have doe for the Bhutanese and others for 20 years. I know refugees personally which I believe most of RSW readers do not. I will welcome them with compassion. Could you have lived through what they have gone through?ner/

    1. You do realize that LIRS is almost entirely funded by taxpayers, don’t you? It is NOT a Lutheran charitable organization (only in name). It is a big business. You do realize that refugees are placed into cities and towns without the permission or knowledge of taxpayers, don’t you? And that property taxes increase to pay for all the social services that these people need? And that taxpayers have NO SAY in this? If you personally want to pay for the education, housing needs and medical care of these refugees, by all means, do so. Don’t expect taxpayers who have NO VOICE in the matter to do so.

    2. Brant119, I applaud your compassion for your fellow man, however, it’s clear you do not have even a rudimentary grasp on Islam. If I told you what I’ve learned from “the horse’s mouth” you would likely feel I was slanting it or simply repeating what some “right-wing nutjob” said.

Now, if you are interested, are driven to find the truth (I recommend it), even at the expense of what you may now believe (I survived the shattering of my illusions), or just want to prove me wrong by going to original and primary Islamic sources, do it. Read the Koran, the Hadith and the Sunnah. All three must be taken together to get a picture of Islam. Understand the sect differences, why they kill they each other and why they still agree on the Koran, the Hadith (distinctions without differences) and the Sunnah. You must find sources that are speaking to or written for Muslim consumption, not the infidel’s. Remember Islam believes in abrogation of suras within the Koran. The Hadith (Shariah Law) is a body of scholarly consensus (agreement of Islamic jurists) on what the Koran says and the Sunnah means. The Sunnah is the story of Mohammed’s life. Since he is considered the “model” man, his example is to be followed.

Prove me wrong by using their first sources. Islam is a religion of peace, but in Islam, peace is defined as when the entire world is under Shariah Law. The 10% that are radical departures from mainstream Islam are called radicals, but they are the ones we call peaceful Muslims, the reformers, and Islam calls apostates. Islam does not believe in being terrorists, because in Islam, they are martyrs. Islam does not believe in killing innocents, but only Muslims can be innocent. Islam does not believe in lying, but that applies only to lying to their brother Islamists, but taciyya (lie) and kitman (partial truth) are encouraged, even mandated, for protection when a minority, to promote Islam and for infiltrating the enemy camp. Islam (Koran) respects the People of the Book (Jews and Christians), but those suras were abrogated by the latter ones that mandate “slay them where you find them.”

Why does ISIS threaten other Islamic countries, if they agree on so much, including that supporting and achieving the caliphate is obligatory for every Muslim and that jihad, hizra and violent, is the way of Allah, even though they view the other sects as infidels?

ISIS is mainstream Islam. Mohammed is the model man. ISIS is actively modeling after Mohammed and is successfully infiltrating the “refugees”, just as they promised to do. Just because one Islamic sect runs from another does not mean they do not share the same fundamental beliefs about jihad and the caliphate. How do you successfully distinguish between the mainstream Islamists and the “apostate 10% radical reformers?” Simply based on their word? Will it be their word or Allah’s word?

According to Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a leading cleric in the Muslim world, “If the [death] penalty for apostasy was ignored, there would not be an Islam today; Islam would have ended on the death of the prophet.”

Religion of peace? Is there a better way to provide humanitarian aid without the West committing suicide?

Neither right or left wing “extremism” invented Islam or has any impact on it. It stands alone.

  4. Linda, Here is what you should do…post the phone numbers and addresses of the Lutherans who are for this and you all take them in and support them. Americans are tired of supporting the entire world while our own Americans and military are doing without. So if you are truly on a mission you should have no trouble opening up your home and wallet to support them. Please post your address so they can find you and move in.
