RRW is taking a break….

Posted by Ann Corcoran on December 11, 2015

RRW logoI’ve been joking for some time that now that the world is talking about refugees and reporters are furiously investigating and writing, that means I can retire. I’m not retiring only taking a break, but after eight years of following the issue, I figure I’ve earned it!

And, having no boss and no employees means I can take a vacation anytime!  Right!

Your comments will still be posted and I hope now to have time to answer your thousands of e-mails piling up in two e-mail accounts.

You can still follow me on twitter.  I’m @RefugeeWatcher.

***Update*** Finding lots of juicy stuff, if you want to keep up, please do follow me on twitter!  YOU CAN SEE MY TWITTER FEED HERE IN THE RIGHT HAND SIDEBAR AND ACCESS THE ARTICLES WITHOUT BEING ON TWITTER!

Kelly will surely still post at the facebook page.

For readers arriving here for the first time, we have 7,272 posts archived and the best way to find something is to use the search window and type in a few key words.  I also urge you to visit our ‘Frequently asked Questions’ by clicking here.

Thanks for all of the kind words of support from so many of you! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it!

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

34 MILLION blank ‘green cards’ and work permits to be ordered ahead of Obama illegal immigrant ‘amnesty’

    All You Americans are fired

In 2010 [Former] Republican kingpin Michael Steele admitted on the Peter Boyles Show (KNUS-Denver) that the true number of illegal aliens in the U.S. was “over 30 million”. In a rare moment of verity, Steele’s comment should have been a warning to those citizens suckered by the “11 milliojn” lie.

Happy New Year to Ann and her readers…let’s hope we can change things before it’s too late.

Hi, Ann. I’d like to see a label called “Welcoming the Stranger,” which is what clergy admonish or inspire us to do. Over the holiday period would be an appropriate time to review and understand the concept. Citing from the Bible should invoke Biblical context. Here’s one below and you can also find a Jewish viewpoint for and compare it to the Dhimmi status.

    –Michelle (2006)

Yet the Bible’s message isn’t simply to welcome everyone and not ask anything of them in return. Instead, the scripture teaches a middle way that asks us to welcome “strangers”–but also requires these guests to take on moral and civic responsibility in their adopted land.

This resident alien too must fulfill criteria to join his new society, agreeing to certain basic moral propositions, including forswearing idolatry, murder, and sexual immorality. He is called a “resident alien” because it is only having satisfied this condition that a non-Israelite who doesn’t formally convert may live in the Holy Land. While inviting us to admire and love a person who would give up his citizenship in a foreign country to join our own, the Bible also commands us to give material aid, whatever is needed, to any immigrant—if he agrees to abide by an unwavering moral law.

Here is where the Bible may be hard for a modern reader to accept, for scriptural tradition expects that any immigrant, any ger, will meet demanding moral criteria. It is not an undiscrimating welcome. The idea that a sojourner would be allowed to live in the land without having accepted one of the two sets of conditions is unthinkable: “They shall not dwell in your land lest they cause you to sin against Me, that you will worship their gods, for it will be a trap for you” (Exodus 23:33).

  6. Ann: Take your break, everyone needs it and I will be one who will continue the fight and putting your past information on my email and Social Media.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year.
The American Sheeple have been led astray by Obama, the PC police and the Liberals. France is on the verge of Civil War, all its going to take is a spark. Canada our neighbor to the North elected a Muslim Convert, Trudeau and the Canadians will go down fighting. Eventually the fight will flow down into America and Alaska. We are fighting a Cancer but this Cancer can be eliminated if the right Leadership takes the reins. I’m not afraid of Hillary but watch carefully who she picks as her running mate. I foresee Hillary not completing her first term due to her health. If we get a Democrat VP like Valerie Jarrett, God help us.
Civil War coming to France very soon: French vs Muslims: We will follow down the same path if the invasion is not stopped first.
Not the France we once knew…..

Here’s a good parting article for you!

But says move should go further, extending to all legal immigration to U.S.
    Published: 12 Dec 2015

“”Donald Trump’s call for a temporary ban on all Muslim entry in the United States is getting enthusiastic support from a conservative icon, as legendary activist Phyllis Schlafly called for the grassroots to support his plan.

“I think it’s an excellent idea, and you know, after the big immigration push in the 1920s, we had something that everybody referred to as a pause, and that was a stoppage of all immigration for a number of years,” recalled Schlafly, a WND columnist and author of “Who Killed the American Family?”

In fact, Schlafly said she would support another temporary moratorium on all legal immigration.

“Recall what we did in the ’20s: call it a pause,” she declared.”

I met Mrs. Schlafly earlier this year. She heard me speak and told me afterward how shocked she was to learn about how the Refugee Program works. I’m told she follows RRW.

Even if I’m not posting at the moment, have a look at some of over 7,000 previous posts—I’ll bet you will learn a lot. Maybe type a key word or two into the search function. Start with your home state and see what I’ve said since 2007 on the topic.

  11. Dear Ann, thank you for being the racist grandmother many of us never had. I must say, I hope you’ll resume posting before the holidays are over. If not, I’ll have trouble drowning out the ceaseless calls for love and peace as my “real” family members celebrate of the birth of that Jesus guy.

The ArchBishop of Mosul who is known for his conflict resolution on the micro scale in all the hot spots of the World has found inviting the party to dinner breaking bread together and leaning their story by listening before offering solutions has gone a long way with the worst of the worst. In this context he invited ISIS to dinner to find common ground and try to save the Christians of Mosul. He received an answer from ISIS. If they come to dinner they CUT OFF HIS HEAD BECUSE HE’Sc AN INFIDEL. SINCE THEN THEY PUT OUT ZATWA TO KILL HIM. THE BISHOP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE SAID THEIR IS NO TALKING WITH THESE PEOPLE. HE SAID THEY ARE PURE EVIL

Oh, Andy, you’re such a stitch…I mean, for the poorly-informed, arrogant know-it-all, who happens to be ignorant of that-Jesus-guy’s teachings and His Father’s laws, emotional-vampire uncle that the whole family dreads what will come out of his mouth at holiday dinners. Hang in there, Uncle Andy. While you’re righteously ridiculing the truth and the people who tell it…what was it that Jesus guy said about the truth setting you free?…and gearing up the talking points about Islam being a “race” (Don’t forget the phobias too)…I wish for you to be blessed by missing what a blast Christmas is for mainstream Islam. I pray we all miss Islam’s “celebrations” for…well, I’ll just quote Allah, so you’ll know I’m not projecting my “racism” or “fears” onto anyone…”slaying the infidels where you find them.”

May I suggest, before arriving at the family dinners this Christmas season, you read the Qur’an, the Hadith and the Sira? Those are Islam’s holy trilogy. Check out “Reliance of the Traveller” (2 L’s) as well and some of the “sahih” (true and accurate) Islamic scholars that make up Shariah law. Try Sahih al-Bukhari. And remember while you’re reading the Hadith, Mohammed is considered the ideal man and as such, all Muslims are obligated to model after him. I know that’s a bit of a long reading list on such short notice, so if you don’t have time to delve into all that…it’s just a start anyway…the cheat sheet for understanding mainstream Islam is available. It’s called ISIS.

Merry Christmas, Uncle Andy. May you and yours be safe and joyful this season and may you be annoyed enough with me to diligently pursue the reading list above, if for no other reason than to prove me wrong.

Merry Christmas to you and yours. Thank you for your dedication to the “watch”and for an exceptional blog. You are a brilliant woman and a true patriot to our beloved USA, a defender of our culture, Constitution, and rule of law! I sent an e-mail to our new Gov. Matt Bevin, his first day at the office! So who knows if he will even receive the message concerning Wilson-Fish states and the attorneys needing a govenor to sign on to the case since Wilson-Fish is unconstitutional being against the 10th amendment. Sent your name and asked him to watch your speeches on YouTube. Sent the blog site and told him the data from D.C. and the states is updated frequently within the day concerning anything to do with refugees. And that links to previous days and years information is instantly retrievable and that the site is an invaluable resource! Did you know that the president of US. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Archbishop Joseph Kurtz resides in Louisville, Ky. as of 2007. Prior to that he was in Knoxville, Tn. and head of Catholic Charities. He dumped tens of thousands of Moslim refugees on Nashville, Tn. while we were sleeping. When PBS from Nashville ran a fill in mini doc called” Know Your Neighbors”six years ago, I watched. It was about thousands of Moslims living there..I saw it and was shocked and furious: and I thus began my search for who, what, when etc. Am with family in Louisville now. blessings, peace and joy, Marie Perkins

Have a great break, Ann, you do a sterling job here, alerting us to the ills that beset the world, thanks to our inept politicians and their leftists advisers, a veritable ’eminence grise’ of wrong-headed, well-intentioned lobbyists with their distorted policies regarding immigration and assimilation. I’ve exhausted my own capabilities in Australia too, now that the lights are slowly being shone at the farther end of the tunnel and people are more aware of the real threats facing us. See more of you in the new year, hopefully.
