NJ Rep heading new effort to get tens of thousands of Syrians into the US ASAP

Posted by Ann Corcoran on March 12, 2016

But some of the Democrats cheering earlier for more Syrians have dropped like flies! (amazing how edifying a few Islamic terror attacks can be!).

As you know, Canada’s boy Trudeau visited Obama in the White House this week which became the news hook for those members of Congress pushing for tens of thousands of mostly Muslim Syrians for your towns.

I was interested to see that 37 members signed the March 7th letter, while back on September 11th, 2015, 72 members had signed a similar plea.  So they’ve lost 35! (did Paris and San Bernardino drive off a few signers?).

Also, note that the letter this week doesn’t specify a number while their letter of September 11th (imagine the nerve to date it on that anniversary) said they want 100,000 Syrians seeded into America by the end of 2016 (the end of Obama’s term).

Here is the news at NJ.com:

United States Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9th Dist.) is urging President Barrack Obama to follow our northern neighbor’s lead and take in more Syrian refugees.

In letter sent to Obama this week, Pascrell and other U.S. congressmen urge the president to use a visit by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday as a chance to discuss taking in more refugees.

Pascrell noted that the U.S. has only taken in 3,000 Syrian refugees since 2011, while Canada has taken in 25,000 in the last four months alone.United States Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9th Dist.) is urging President Barrack Obama to follow our northern neighbor’s lead and take in more Syrian refugees.

You might want to go back to the earlier letter and see if your favorite Democrat (they are all Dems) signed both letters or perhaps your rep has had a change of heart since Paris and San Bernardino.

Go here to see a map of Pascrell’s district which includes the location where Donald Trump observed Muslims celebrating on 911.

And, one last thing!  Any of you who are planning to not vote, or write in someone, if Trump is the nominee, remember, you will be voting for tens of thousands of Muslim refugees to be admitted to the US (under either a Clinton or Sanders Administration).

  3. Why do you say that only Trump will keep Muslim refugees out of the USA? I am a Canadian who has less than contempt for our silly, shallow new PM and a serious concern regarding what he has done to our country vis a vis imposing so many refugees into our country and, worse, automatically clearing them to apply for citizenship! You should also know, and our extremely progressive MSM won’t tell you this ~ most Canadians have the same concerns as I do: http://globalnews.ca/news/2352983/60-of-canadians-disagree-with-liberal-plan-to-accept-syrian-refugees-ipsos-poll/ Your media makes all us Cnds look like a bunch of radical progressives. We are not.

I have been watching the US election and have done some of my own research as I do not trust any of the MSM, including the one (Fox), that is purportedly conservative. And it seems to me that Ted Cruz has a much more reliable and proven record of political actions that insure he will make decisions and do much more than Trump to insure America is protected against illegal immigration and mass refugee and immigrant importation. Trump may be an exciting renegade but he represents a Potemkin Village – no one has any idea how he will actually act once/if he takes power, while Ted Cruz has consistently been exactly who he says his is in BOTH his words and his actions. So, I am baffled by the obsessive appeal of Trump by the political right in the USA.

      Sharon,

I am sorry for your plight with so many refugees, we are experiencing the same here in America. Please research more information on Ted Cruz, along with his wife. His record “of political actions” is that of a dishonest politician. Of Course this is just one Americans view, however, I am not alone in my knowledge of Ted Cruz and Mrs. Cruz’s political actions. Also, speaking of no one having any idea how he will act, You can rest assured that Donald Trump will “ACT” to insure any refugee’s entering the United States of America will be Fully Vetted, Prior to gaining residence in this Country, Something No Government is capable Of, at this time.
So, Be Not baffled by a Honest Man’s Love for his Country, or the admiration of the political right population in the United States of America.
Best of Luck to you and to Canada,

      Maureen, an American

  7. I’m not wild about Trump, but I realize that the power of the office of POTUS is limited by our checks and balances system, si he can’t just do whatever he wants. And given the seriousness of the mass immigration problem, I feel that I really have no alternative other than Trump, since all the others will continue along this path of self destruction. So if Trump gets elected, the liberals have no one to blame but themselves. They have been completely unreasonable in regards to mass immigration, and have left us with no other choice.
