Iraqi refugees entering US at rate of (only) 699 per month; 82% Muslim

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 18, 2016

Since readers seem to have liked previous posts on Syrians and Somalis resettled in the US in FY2016, I thought you might like to see how the Iraqi flow is going.  I’m surprised to see that the number is much lower than last year.

Does that mean we are approaching a point where we have pretty well cleared Iraq of anyone who wants to come to the US?

We have been bringing, on average, about 15,000 Iraqis a year since Obama took office.

As of March 31st (the halfway point in the fiscal year), we invited (only) 4,194 Iraqis to come and live in your towns (data here).  That is way down!!!

Here is the map of where they’ve been placed since October 1, 2015 (source: Refugee Processing Center):

Map Iraqis FY2016

The top ten states for Iraqi resettlement are these (they usually place them where there are already a large number of a specific ethnic group because they know they like to live with their own kind of people, and that is o.k. for them, but not for you! You would be racist if you expressed a similar desire—to live with your kind of people!):

California (634)

Texas (579)

Michigan (390)

Washington (214)

Virginia (177)

Illinois (159)

Arizona (157)

Tennessee (143)

Ohio (134)

Florida (112)

Surprisingly Nebraska comes in for honorable mention with 109.

Since the vast majority are Muslims (82%), the feds and the contractors also like to place them where there are plenty of mosques. Here is how this group breaks down (their spelling):

Moslem: 134

Moslem Shiite: 1,294

Moslim Suni: 2,017

LOL! Note that they are bring both sides of the centuries-old dispute between the Moslem sects to live side by side in America (good luck with that!).

We have a huge category on Iraqi refugees with 687 previous posts for ambitious readers!

    Ms. Corcoran,

You may find the following testimony of a Canadian Senior Immigration Examining Officer re the Canadian government’s cover-up of the total number of illegals (mostly rejected refugee claimants) in Canada of relevance :

  7. It would be nice if all of the poor and homeless would finally stand up against the unfairness of this idiotic policy. Our own people are living on the streets and in the bushes, while foreigners are given housing, welfare, and healthcare, after having been flown in here at public expense. Homeless people could honestly claim that they “fear for their lives”, so why not confer refugee status on them and shower them with benefits?

Lately I’ve been seeing comments that those who are Muslim are different than those who call themselves Islams. Muslims supposedly don’t follow the Koran word for word where Islams do. Can you clarify this?

I’d like to see this in print somewhere. Sometimes people use the word Islamists to separate out the more extreme elements. But if Muslims don’t follow the Koran, then they aren’t Muslims.

This is one but I’ll have to look for others. See how stupid is this Egyptian Muslim commentator – YouTube

Still babble. Like when they interchange “refugees” with “migrants” or “immigrants”

        Then you have this.

        Misuses of Islam and Muslim

Islam : grammatically speaking, Islam should only refer to the religion or acts done in the name of that religion, never a person who practices that religion. Islamic community and Islamic art are correct, Islamic man is not.
Muslim should be used to describe all people of the Islamic faith but not the faith itself. You may say that you are interested in the religion of Muslims, but never in the Muslim religion.

        Summary:
1.Islam and Muslim are both words used to describe the religion revealed to the Prophet Mohammed.
2.Islam and Muslim both have the same origin in the Arabic verb s-l-m.
3.Islam is the act of submitting to the will of God whereas a Muslim is person who participates in the act of submission.
4.To be correctly used, Islam or Islamic should describe the religion and its subsequent cultural concepts whereas Muslim should only describe the followers of the religion of Islam.
