State Department announces comment period for FY2017 Refugee admissions

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 23, 2016

This is the official launch of the preparations underway for the Obama Administration’s last Refugee Admissions plan to be sent to Congress in September of this year.  Obama has already signaled that he wants 100,000 refugees seeded into your towns in FY2017.

Each year at this time, the US State Department takes testimony from the public on how many refugees (and from where) that you, the taxpaying public, thinks we should admit.  From past experience, we know, of course, that your testimony goes down a black hole!

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration Affairs Anne Richard arrives for a press conference at a hotel in Putrajaya, Malaysia Monday, June 1, 2015. Richard said resettlement in a third country is not the answer to the swelling tide of boat people in Southeast Asia and called for Myanmar citizenship to be given to Rohingya Muslims fleeing persecution there. (AP Photo/Joshua Paul)

Address your testimony to: U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration Anne C. Richard

For probably decades this testimony was taken in public and was dominated by federal contractors. However, we attended in three consecutive years, but starting last year, there was no longer an opportunity to go face-to-face to the State Department to tell them what we think.  Why is that? Because in that last year where a PUBLIC hearing was held, the opposition to the program dominated the pro-open borders resettlement contractors and they didn’t like it one bit!

If you would like to see what some of your fellow critics of the program said in the past, go here, here and here (when you click each of these, scroll down for all the posts in the category). These are our archives for any discussion of hearing years 2012 (for FY13), 2013 (for FY14), and 2014 (for FY15).  The only reason we obtained any of that testimony is that some of you sent it to us and we attended the hearings in person and were given the testimony.

That testimony is not made public because secrecy has always been the watchword of the program!

I doubt that any Member of Congress or Senator has ever attempted to make that testimony public and I’d bet a million bucks (if I had it!) that no Members/Senators have ever asked for that testimony! Shameful!

Anyway…..

Here (and below) is the Federal Register Notice for FY2017.  You have until 5 p.m. on May 19th to submit written testimony!

I’m asking all of you to prepare and send in testimony by the May 19th deadline. You don’t have to do some deep analysis of the program, just tell them what you think, and what is happening where you live. (Please be professional and polite!)

I know I said it goes into a black hole, but you can use your testimony in other ways. Use it to do press releases and letters to the editor.  Use it to ask your concerned local elected officials to send in testimony too.

Be sure to send your testimony to all of your elected officials at all levels of government (cc them on the testimony). When sending your testimony to your elected Washington representatives, ask them to do something in your cover letter so that they are at least put on notice that you want a response from them.

Federal Register Notice:

The United States actively supports efforts to provide protection, assistance, and durable solutions for refugees. The U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) is a critical component of the United States’ overall refugee protection efforts around the globe. In Fiscal Year 2016, the President established the ceiling for refugee admissions into the United States at 85,000 refugees.

As we begin to prepare the FY 2017 U.S. Refugee Admission Program, we welcome the public’s input. Information about the Program can be found at http://www.state.gov/g/prm/. Persons wishing to submit written comments on the appropriate size and scope of the FY 2016 U.S. Refugee Admissions Program should submit them by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2015 via email to PRM-Comments@state.gov or fax (202) 453-9393.Show citation box

If you have questions about submitting written comments, please contact Delicia Spruell, PRM/Admissions Program Officer at spruellda@state.gov.

  3. Hungarian Government Bans Islamization http://shoebat.com/2016/04/27/hungarian-government-bans-islamization-says-that-hungarians-have-a-right-to-choose-their-culture-and-how-they-want-to-live/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+shoebat+%28Walid+Shoebat%29

Hungary has sued the EU at the European Court of Justice to avoid having to take part in an EU plan to resettle migrants. The government is also organizing a national referendum over the EU quotas, meant to rally political support for its anti-immigrant position.

    Why?

    1. Hungary has a right to its language and culture – as do Americans.
    2. Hungary wants to keep its language and culture intact – as do Americans.
    3. Muslims do not want to assimilate.
    4. A majority of Muslims only want welfare and do not want to work, causing a strain on Government resources to take care of its own citizens.
    5. Hungary sees the nations of the EU contesting with Muslim Rape of EU women, which Muslims claim is justified per the Koran.
    6. Hungary sees the nations of the EU contesting with Muslim pedophilia, which Muslims perceive as normal, per the Koran.
    7. Hungary sees the death of EU citizens at the hands of Muslim thugs who believe “infidels” should be killed, per the Koran.
    8. Hungary sees the nations of the EU battling rioting Muslims, who are dissatisfied with their welfare benefits.
    9. Hungary sees the migrant Muslims claiming they will destroy the EU countries and set up a Muslim caliphate.
    10. Hungary claims its sovereignty and will not be bullied by the EU and the U.N. – as do Americans.

The 2016 election will determine how Americans feel about Muslim resettlement in America. Americans also see what is happening with Muslim resettlement in the E.U. despite the main stream media black-out of E.U. events related to Muslim resettlement. Currently it looks like Americans will choose a president who will protect American citizens from Muslim resettlement. Therefore, there should be a moratorium until the election is concluded. If not, I foresee massive law suits against the American government.

  15. Re: Muslim refugees: Islam is by definition, a Political Cult, Not a religion, therefore it should NOT have the same rights under the Bill of Rights. All good Muslims condone and preserve Sharia Law as being God’s Laws. Sharia law is possibly the most vile set of laws in the history of mankind! Sharia goes against our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Jihad is part of that Law. Taqi Usmani states, “The purpose of Jihad aims at breaking the grandeur of unbelievers and establish[ing] that of Muslims.” He further insists that Muslims in Western countries “must live in peace until strong enough to wage Jihad”–and once they are strong enough, they will “establish the supremacy of Islam.”]~ Taqi Usmani, has served on the Board of the Dow Jones Islamic Index (IMANX) and still holds a place on the sharia Advisory Board of several international financial institutions.

While many refugees do need and deserve our help, it is AGAINST our LAWs of immigration to admit anyone who supports an organization that goes against our Constitution and Bill of rights.

Muslims are rightfully banned from immigrating here. ENFORCE OUR LAWS and protect this nation and its people from Islamic terrorism! These refugees should be helped by our assisting them to settle safely in predominantly Muslim countries! Do NOT bring them here!

Ann- as usual, we can’t thank you enough for all the work you do on the refugee/ immigrant/ invasion crisis. Many of us who live near sanctuary cities already know the deep and lasting effect these illegal aliens have had on our economy and our communities. In affluent Westchester and Putnam counties here in NY, our cities, towns and school districts are demanding more and more money for higher taxes to provide all sorts of FREE services to these illegals, not the least of which is “education.” Many of these young people are illiterate in their own languages and require intensive remedial instruction.

It never ceases to amaze me to see these immigrant families in the supermarket speaking to each other in Spanish or some other non- English language, even though we are spending many thousands of dollars per student to try to teach them English. I also can’t believe that they get away with transferring millions of dollars each year to Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala, etc. by wiring their non-taxed money back “home” to “their countries.” You see these illegals all the time, lined up looking for yard work or anything that pays cash. Many of them live 10 to a room and keep their expenses to a minimum so they have more to send back to their relatives. Of course the American tax-slaves pretty much provide them with everything they need for free so they have plenty to send.

Even in our small NY cities, we see egregious zoning and building code violations by landlords who profit from the illegals. Rampant crime including violent assaults go unpunished and many of these criminals are released as soon as they are caught, even in the case of known illegals. If you complain to the police or city officials, they claim their hands are tied and of course you risk getting branded as a racist. The beat goes on.

If it wasn’t for people like you, I would have given up long ago. Keep up the good work and never give up. I will try and do likewise.

    All the best,

    Patty

Thanks Patty! Work real hard on the Presidential election because if Hillary is elected we are finished. Immigration will never be slowed, and the refugee program will never be reformed.

I wish I could understand liberals. Do they not also live in the United States, as well as their children and grandchildren? Don’t they realize that they will also be affected with unlimited immigration? Or do they want to be the new “nobility” living in castles surrounded by moats? Who wants to live in a nation where people are frightened to travel outside their protected enclaves?I just don’t get it.

Your question is probably as old as time. Leaving aside the truly evil (power hungry) manipulators, I think there are those whose brain is ruled by emotion and those who are guided by logic, and rarely do the two meet. Maybe that is too simplistic, but it seems almost genetic to me.
