Surprise! Missoula, Montana expected to get mostly Muslim refugees after all

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 25, 2016

Update April 28th:  A little inside baseball about how Missoula got so lucky to get a refugee office, click here.

Have you been following our posts on the plan to open Montana to refugee resettlement?  If not, click here for background (no time for rehashing!)

In this news story from the Missoula Independent about a phony letter that was sent to the US State Department that purported to rescind an earlier invitation by the county commission for the federal government to start sending refugees to Montana, we learn this much more important news toward the end of the article.

Bait and switch!

Mary-Poole-Soft-Landing-Missoula-jpg

Mary Poole of Soft Landing Missoula. Will she be the resettlement sub-contractor for the International Rescue Committee? Poole tells the Missoula Independent that she is so excited to be welcoming Syrian Sunni Muslims to Montana!

(Other ‘welcoming’ cities pay attention! You will not get what you have been told!)

In earlier news accounts the feds and the International Rescue Committee suggested that Montana wouldn’t get Syrians, but what do you know, all of that has changed because the Obama surge is on the way!

Not only will they get Syrians (99% at the moment are Sunni Muslims), but they will get refugees from Afghanistan and from Burma who are Muslims too!

Rohingya are Burmese Muslims that up until a few years ago the State Department did not consider for refugee status to America!

Here is what the Missoula Independent is reporting now!

When the IRC’s request was approved, the prospect that refugees placed in Missoula would actually originate from Middle Eastern countries such as Syria seemed slim, as Syrians make up a small portion of those currently entering the United States.

However, IRC officials now say resettlement of Syrians appears more likely. Most refugees who relocate to the U.S. are placed with relatives, but Missoula’s fledgling program will likely draw from the roughly 30 percent of all arriving refugees who don’t have U.S. family ties. [When you get refugees with no ties, this is truly a SEEDING process—ed]

IRC officials explained the outlook during a Thursday reception hosted by local refugee advocate group Soft Landing Missoula. They told attendees the Missoula office expects initial arrivals may include Syrian families ranging in size from four to 10 individuals [big subsidized housing apartments available?—ed], Congolese families and single woman-headed households, Afghans or Rohingyas from Myanmar.  [Congolese*** are mostly non-Muslim, but all the others listed here are Muslims!—ed]

Ambitious readers! To learn more about the very ‘devout’ Muslims known as Rohingya, please see our category entitled ‘Rohingya Reports’ with 188 previous posts going back years.

Then this:

We were kind of operating under the impression that there might not be a possibility of us getting Syrian refugees for quite a while, and that seems to have slightly shifted,” Soft Landing founder Mary Poole said at the event, “… so that’s really exciting because they were our catalyst.”

If you live in Missoula, you must ask these county commissioners if they have ever seen the R & P Abstract for your community. I bet they haven’t! If they have, demand that you, the taxpaying public, gets to see it too!

Diane, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Marriott Hotel Group, G.W.Bush, John “Juan” McCain, Grover Norquist, Rupert Murdoch (Fox-News) the GOP-funded American Action Forum (http://tinyurl.com/js73cvp )and the vast majority of so called “Conservative” leaders support population replacement by immigration.

“Nearly three decades ago, there was barely a peep when Reagan and Bush used their authority to extend amnesty to the spouses and minor children of immigrants covered by the 1986 law.”

“In 1986, Congress and Reagan enacted a sweeping overhaul that gave legal status to up to 3 million immigrants without authorization to be in the country, if they had come to the U.S. before 1982. Spouses and children who could not meet that test did not qualify, which incited protests that the new law was breaking up families.” http://tinyurl.com/qfflqlu

Then of course, we have the Koch Brothers and their influential “CATO Institute” that are tireless in their promotion of open borders and the extermination of American culture. http://www.cato.org/research/immigration

So Diane, we can take solace in the knowledge that when it comes to open-borders and immigration, our “Conservative” brothers and sisters will never be consigned to second place by the Liberals and Socialists.

  6. Wait until they start demanding halal stuff and you stop doing things they don’t like, like advertise bacon/pork products. What is the percentage, 5% when they start causing massive problems? Sorrowful for the Great State of Montana, and all the others.

Now one would think that you would need a business license to engage in such activity? After all you are dealing in human traffic, I wonder if Mary is ready to put a family in her home? She is probably a Tax exempt LLC, and in order to obtain that status, you would have to apply to your state taxing commission.

More needs to be discovered about this back door way of avoiding proper immigration! I also think that any law put into place over 30 years ago, need to be reviewed by our Congress, if it is costing US Taxpayers. From what I have discovered, and reading blogs on this web site and others, the final burden to provide Health, education and welfare falls on State, County, and local tax payers. Anyone correct me if I am 100% dead wrong…

You hit on a very important key point—this law has never been renewed (reauthorized) by Congress which is something that happens frequently with other laws. Reauthorization requires extensive hearings and they are all too chicken to do that!

  12. Why, I can hardly believe it. Quick, everyone, rush out to your Islam-Sharia-loving friends and get their addresses and maps to their homes, so the “refugees” know to whom they can turn for free meals and shelter. EVERY person who supports this nonsense OWES it to humanity to step up, put up – or shut up. I suggest also obtaining aerial views of these peoples’ places, so mosque builders will have a better idea of how much space they might be able to get this way – and in case someone with acreage wants to host a few hundred in tents…

It’s certainly a shame that the “phony” letter was not genuine. I’m sure THAT would have been more in line with how most Montanans see the disaster that is looming for them and their state if this so-called “refugee” re-settlement (a.k.a. “seeding” of third world dregs) goes forward.

are you sure they are really from Syria, and not North Africans posing as “Syrians”? Many “Syrian” refugees in Europe are not even from Syria they just say they are or have fake passports

    • The main Q is not where they are from, but are they Muslims coming from a Muslim country. Why are Missoula folks allowing this? Majority will end up on perpetual welfare, having many offspring. With unemployment high all over, how will all this be paid for long term?
