Pollster Pat Caddell: Why isn’t Trump using the refugee issue?

Posted by Ann Corcoran on October 7, 2016

I’m wondering the same thing!

Caddell: “We still have not seen the rise of the refugee issue.”

Polls show that the majority of Americans do not want the vast number of refugees Hillary Clinton and her supporters at the Refugee Council USA (the lobbying arm of the refugee industry) want:

……when they asked: “Hillary Clinton’s supporters at the Refugee Council want to increase the number of refugees coming into the United States in 2017 even more, to 200,000, and Hillary wants to increase the number of Syrian refugees in that total from 10,000 in 2016 to 65,000 in 2017. Do you approve or disapprove of this increase?” — sixty-two percent were opposed and only 26 percent supported Clinton’s position, he said.

Here is Pat Caddell talking about those poll results:

Pollster Pat Caddell believes that victory in the 2016 election is in the hands of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, saying on Monday, “This really is Trump’s election if he wants to win it.”

It’s in his hands,” Caddell told SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Breitbart News Daily. “We still have not seen the rise of the refugee issue, which the Breitbart Gravis polls shows has emerged as a major issue.”

We will be watching on Sunday evening to see if Trump is wise enough to bring it up (even if no one else does!).

    Actually Trump does talk about the refugees

    The crisis with them

    How Crooked Hillary’s foreign policy created it

    And she wants to bring 550% more refugees into USA etc

  7. Is he trying to gain the support of independents and not his base? I am not a follower of Frank Luntz, but he stated that Trump’s approval, during the debate, went down when he made comments about immigration, etc. My thought was that it probably went up with his supporters. Rush Limbaugh was always dismayed because Republican candidates are always trying to appease independents. His opinion is that these candidates would have better chances if they tried to please their base. Is the establishment telling him to cool down?

    I have watched every Trump rally and been to several and each time he has brought up refugees, how many obama wants and how many more hillary wants…and Trump was the one that began speaking on “extreme vetting”
    I really don’t understand what Pat Caddell is talking about.
    The last debate was a farce where Lester Holt lobbed hillary softballs, what went on there barely counts.

    Hopefully Trump will go after hillary in this upcoming debate but with Anderson Cooper ( honorary member of the Clinton Foundation ) and Martha Raditz who invited Obama to her wedding and is obviously a blind hillary supporter and Clinton News Network submitting and voting on questions ( Syrian Refugee Crisis caused by Global Warming induced drought!!!!) this upcoming debate promises to be just as rigged as the last one.

    The only upside is that hillary is none too steady on her feet.

      I was wondering if Hillary is going to be walking around with a microphone. I half expected her to request easy chairs for the both of them. I think Caddell is referring to using the refugee issue in the debates.

      –his rallies are primarily ‘preaching to the choir” –not going to bring the surge we had such as day after Convention which had a broad nat’l audience;

      in the same way it ‘feels like’ he’s been hammering on the subject to you, this has not been the case for the broad audience;

      I believe Trump is also experiencing the ‘forest for the trees’ syndrome b/c he feels like he is hammering on these issues —

      –he’s just not directing it to the audience of fence-sitters, nor R ppl that turned against him, nor the Dems that got a MAJOR WAKE UP CALL after the Big Gun Non-Politician spoke at convention re TRUE state of Homeland Security –which did flip many –but that’s why we need more hammering — redirected to the right audience.

      Mostly we’ve been hearing jabs re Hill’s health.

      Hi again, I thought about your comment this morning when I was telling my husband about the week’s refugee news. He has never watched a Trump rally. And, then this week I had lunch with an old friend who is pretty politically in tune with me. But, she is elderly and does not get on the internet. From the mainstream media she watches on TV, she would have no idea that Trump talks about immigration and refugees on the trail. So, it is so important for the topic to come up at a nationally televised debate for the millions of people who are not being fully informed of what he is saying (besides his locker room talk!).

        –been trying to inform campaign planners re this type of “Feedback from the Field”, however, their email address one-way only –got my returned emails today.

        if anyone has a direct, legit address to send “Feedback from the Field”, sure would appreciate it.

    ….and I’ve been wondering the same thing too!

    He could be hammering away at Hillary re refugee issues — via many angles– which would give a Major Surge in points to him, yet he seems consumed with questioning if she’s ‘resting’, etc

    What the heck is going on ???
