What the hell! Somali American goes HOME for visit to Somalia!

Posted by Ann Corcoran on December 21, 2016

“Women can lead Somalia…” Ilhan Omar

Then why don’t you!

It has got to stop! There is no reason that we are admitting thousands of Somalis to the US every month when their country is safe enough for newly elected Minnesota legislator, Ilhan Omar, to go HOME for a visit!

Maybe it is time for Omar to stay at HOME and help Somalia! LEGITIMATE refugees claim that they fear to go home because they they will be persecuted! What a joke!

I’ve just been telling readers in my two previous posts (here and here) that we have admitted over 100,000 Somalis to the US since Black Hawk Down (over the last two plus decades) and they are coming in now at the highest rate ever!

Why aren’t they going to Somalia to rebuild their own country?

From Africa Times:

Somalia welcomed newly elected American legislator Ilhan Omar home to Mogadishu on Tuesday, where she met with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

The Somali American left as a child and lived for years in the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya before moving to the United States in 1997. She is the first Somali-American woman to become a lawmaker in the U.S., where she will serve as a Minnesota state representative.

Omar lives in the city of Minneapolis, which is home to the greatest concentration of Somali immigrants in the United States. Minneapolis-St. Paul also has a large Oromo population, among significant communities coming from Ethiopia, Kenya and other nations. Omar, serving as Director of Policy Initiatives at Women Organizing Women, has a long history of public service and other achievements within the community.

She praised Somalia for its embrace of women in leadership roles during her meeting, specifically noting the 30 percent benchmark for female members in the country’s new parliament.

“Women can lead Somalia,” Omar told Radio Dalsan. “Somalia is moving ahead.”

Anne Richard, Asst. Sec. of State for PRM is responsible!

I am so angry.

In my nearly ten years of writing RRW, I don’t think I have been so angry as I am at this moment.

Obama and his Department of State are committing treason in my view with this huge flood of Somali fake refugees they are ‘welcoming’ to the US just as they walk out the door!

  1. You sound emotionally wounded and are being internally consumed and ravaged by your hate and bitterness. Be happy for others good fortune and walk a mile in their shoes before you judge. we are all Gods creatures. Follow your own path and you too might achieve your dreams.

This story smells to high heaven. I’ll bet dollars to doughnuts she made it up. Total nonsense she didn’t want to criminalize the behavior. More like she didn’t want to get nabbed for false police report!

You are right, it does smell! Amazing she got an African immigrant driver in DC who isn’t Muslim. My luck, I get Muslims. The last one I had told me all about how horrible Donald Trump was! But, he said, we could endure 4 years.

Reminds me of the Tsarnaev Boston Bombers. The FBI was alerted by the Russian FSB that the oldest Tsarnaev boy was currently visiting with Mon & Dad. The FBI missed the boat, because my bells would have gone off, once I learned the entire family received permanent residency in America because they had a credible fear of religous persection back in their mother Russia.

I still wonder if anyone at USCIS revoked their permnent residency? Last I heard the sister was still floating arond up in the Boston area. I also recall the Aunt and Uncle Tsarnaev’s lived in Maryland, I’ll bet no one at HSI or USCIS checked on how many trips they have made back to Chechnya!

  7. Please tell all Americans over and over that we the American people ,are paying for all their food, dental, housing, doctors, and free travel to go visit their old home,( that they had to leave for fear of death and giving them first thing an ATM bank card to get there money(our tax dollars) while Americans do without can’t make ends meet go to the doctor, no job because “they” get them not an American. Big business brings “them ” here on our back and then give them the jobs we need! Take care of Americans, get them off our backs, put them back to their countries!

Just what Minnesota needs, another muslim in a political position…Another 20 years, or less, these people will be capable of doing whatever they want politically and we will be at their mercy. This Country is in such a downward spiral…”circling the bowl.” Can’t our leaders see what is going and see our future? Breeding like rats and registering as Democrats. Very difficult for me to be optimistic about our future. Trump is our only possibility of salvaging our Country. STOP ALL MUSLIM IMMIGRATION!

Minneapolis Subsidizes Somalis’ Vacations in Africa

Housing board grants rent relief to tenants on extended absences

    By S Brandt SEPTEMBER 29, 2016 — 1:32PM

Public housing residents in Minneapolis will no longer need to pay their normal monthly rent when travel abroad erases their income, a change particularly sought by East African immigrants.

The board of the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority approved this week reverting to its previous policy of collecting only minimal rent during extended absences. The change takes effect once approved by federal housing officials, which is expected by year’s end.

Abdi Warsame, a City Council member, told the board that the policy in place for the past five years works a particular hardship on elderly East Africans who must save for long periods if they want to visit their homelands. He said that many receive federal Supplemental Security Income, which is halted when the recipient is outside the United States.

Yet the policy required people to keep paying rent, which is income-based. Travelers gone for 30 to 90 days could apply for a hardship, which meant that they paid the minimum $75 monthly rent during their absence, but were required to make up the difference between that and their normal rent over the next year or two.

The change will mean that residents will pay only the $75 minimum per month, assuming they apply for the hardship status.

From 50 to 75 public housing residents report such absences annually, according to Mary Boler, an agency manager. She said the cost of the change will be less than $50,000. The agency found that the paperwork burden of tracking repayment was higher than anticipated.

“This was brought up to us again and again and again in every building we visited in our ward,” Warsame said. “Everybody was afraid to leave the country.”

He said common reasons for travel abroad include visiting families left behind or participating in the hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are expected to make at least once.

The agency allows a maximum absence of 90 days, after which it takes steps to terminate a lease. With a long waiting list, “That’s a long time for the asset to be kept empty,” Boler said.

The agency board now has two members of Somali descent, Mohamud Tamir and Abdullahi Isse. The agency’s resident advisory board also backed the change in rent policy for extended absences.
