Numbers of refugees arriving this month are through the roof!

Posted by Ann Corcoran on January 20, 2017

In the last five days, the Obama Administration has admitted the astronomical number of 2,432 refugees.

Today is the big day! And, it feels like a huge holiday.  I wasn’t going to post anything since you will be glued to the tube, or maybe even in Washington, but I figured what the heck, I have news to report.

Ha! Ha! It was a rush job, but we got as many in as we could since Election day!

On January 16th I told you that the daily average of arriving refugees had dropped from earlier in the fiscal year (the 2017 fiscal year began on October 1, 2016), but I checked Wrapsnet this morning and see I must revise that assessment!

As of today, Inauguration Day, we have admitted 29,895 refugees, that is a rate way above any numbers we have seen at least since the years preceding 9/11, see here.

As of January 15th, the number was 27,463.  That means in the last 5 days Obama admitted 2,432!

Trump Watch begins tomorrow!

Unless the data base disappears, I plan to begin reporting daily (starting tomorrow) overall numbers and numbers for specific nationalities in my Trump Watch series.

So here are some benchmarks for today for FY17:

Overall admissions: 29,895 (267 per day average)

Afghans: 748

Syrians: 4,588

Somalis: 3,806

Iraqis: 4,560

Here is where the Syrians (98% Muslim) have been placed between October 1, 2016 and January 20, 2017:

If you can’t read Florida, it is 276. Alaska and Hawaii got zero Syrians so far.

I just had a look at our category, ‘Where to find information’ and there is a lot of good stuff posted there.

People tend to live up to your expectations. We have sponsored an Iraqi family. A widow with 3 boys. They are all very clever. After 1 year the mother speaks English well. The youngest is in high school, on the soccer team and making high marks. The second oldest is in university and working. The oldest works in the high tech industry and is very successful. Because the oldest had studied in the US, they were seen as traitors and had to flee Iraq. The father and the first son were killed by a car bomb a few years ago. Every day they express their gratitude and enjoy being invited to our church, even though they are devout Muslims. It has been an honor to help these wonderful people.
If you allow refugees to come to your country and you treat them badly, what kind of results are you expecting? They will not leave because they have no place to go. Treat them well and expect the best. If you have no charity or compassion for the people around you who suffer …. I don’t know what to tell you.

Ann- here’s some breaking news from the People’s Republic of New York. Our very own Lib/Dem/Communist Attorney General has devised a plan to help continue ILLEGAL SANCTUARY CITIES in our State. This is a man who is supposed to be one of the top law enforcement officers in NY. He actually swore an oath to that effect. If you want to see how little that means, here is a quote and a link to the article:

“Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on Thursday released a “legal roadmap” for New York cities who wish to protect immigrant communities under the incoming presidential administration of Donald Trump. At the same time, Schneiderman provided legal guidance that would in essence allow local governments to enact in law so-called “sanctuary” policies.”

The map says 0 for Mississippi but catholic charities has brought them in and continues to do so. I have seen them with my own eyes. This is not hearsay

This is only for the last 3 months and 20 days, so perhaps they came in earlier than that? I’ll check the data going back through the whole of the last calendar year. And, this map is only for Syrians, is it Syrians you are seeing?
