Breaking news! Reuters is reporting that President Trump will sign executive orders on refugees tomorrow

Posted by Ann Corcoran on January 24, 2017

Drudge is reporting the news with this banner headline tonight! If this is true, this is big!

Trump to Unleash Immigration Orders

Update Jan. 25th:  Be sure to see the latest this morning, here.

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to sign several executive orders on Wednesday restricting immigration from Syria and six other Middle Eastern or African countries, according to several congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter.

Trump Watch!

In addition to Syria, Trump’s orders are expected to temporarily restrict access to the United States for most refugees. Another order will block visas from being issued to Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, said the aides and experts, who asked not to be identified.

Trump’s restrictions on refugees are likely to include a multi-month ban on admissions from all countries until the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security can increase the intensity of the vetting process.

The Republican president was expected to sign the orders at the Washington headquarters of the Department of Homeland Security, whose responsibilities include immigration and border security.

Continue here.

Anxiety has been building all day about whether President Trump was going to squish-out on doing anything serious about reining-in immigration.

I reported in my earlier post today that Wrapsnet has been down all weekend, but it is back up and we learned that a huge number of refugees have been admitted just since Inauguration day—990!  So, if this is accurate news, that Trump will pause the refugee program, it couldn’t come soon enough.

More tomorrow!

  1. Thank God he is finally following through on some of his promises. I think that the wall is more symbolic than anything, and a deployment of combined forces would be much more effective, but at least this is a start. What I really like is the fact that Trump is doing something about the “sanctuary” cities, that are obstructing justice, in my opinion. I do think Trump is wise to take care of this issue first because any other measures will be ineffective if our own institutions shield them. If it were up to me, I would have the mayors of the cities facing charges for obstruction of justice, fraud, and being an accessory to a felony, and anything else I could think of. It would be a good idea to get tough with the churches that hide them, also.

This is a great day and this President seems to be doing more in the few days he has been in office than the previous three presidents combined with their tenure in office, you must be very happy I know I am. God bless you and thank you for all the work you’re doing. Joe Moran

CLIP: “said the aides and experts, who asked not to be identified.”
When I read this in a news article I blow it off as an unverified rumor someone is wanting to get started. If it were true the people revealing it wouldn’t mind being quoted.

Forget the vetting, make it permanent. Muslims are allowed and do lie when it helps to spread their evil ediology on us.

I think you needed to be patient. Your prior article made me a little upset with you. Trump is with us.

I don’t mind if you are upset with me. It is my job to keep pounding them (even if it makes people dislike me). LOL! I’m like the code pink of the refugee control movement, it’s a dirty job but someone has to do it!

Thank god, I am nearly in tears. It’s come too late to save my once peaceful hometown from being overrun and turned into Somalia, but perhaps there is hope for other small cities around the country.

Check out the last three sentences of this NY Times article. Do these numbers jive with your numbers?

“Mr. Obama increased the overall number of refugees to be resettled in the United States to 85,000 and ordered that 10,000 of the slots be reserved for Syrians. He set the number of refugees to be resettled this [fiscal?] year at 110,000, more than double the 50,000 Mr. Trump is now considering. [Comment: Trump is actually considering 50k slots for FY2017?]

“By the end of last month, more than 25,000 refugees had been resettled, according to State Department figures, meaning the plan Mr. Trump is considering would admit only 25,000 more by the end of September.”

Obama Created a LOT of Sneaky back doors where they have not been & are NOT BEING counted as ‘refugees’. etc –especially when he & George Clooney were making the rounds at the mega UN mtg past Sept –students & sponsored workers [not being counted as refugee #’s, nor will Each of their Family reunification masses]

I hope Our new POTUS will find ALL of the sneaky “Alternative” [that’s actually the 1st word of the Program Obama created to get around refugee label] –including all those secretive State Dept avenues.

      Nonetheless– I am celebrating today!!

Finally good common sense news instead of BOs BS that there’s nothing that can be done except throw your arms up in the air. It’s not permanent liberals. It’s until 2 Agencies responsible for vetting can devise a process that will be tough instead if the joke we had in place.
