Ninth Circuit allows migrants from terror hotspots to resume entering the country

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 5, 2017

It is confusing and hopefully later there will be more clarity, but reportedly, overnight, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered both sides (the Washington State court that stopped Trump’s temporary halt of certain migrants and the US Justice Department) by tomorrow to prepare briefs supporting their arguments.

Double standard by the Left! (and CNN!) Obama could, with a pen, control who comes and who stays in America, but don’t dare let Donald Trump use that Constitutional authority!

So, if those bureaucrats working in the US State Department attempt to resume bringing refugees in to the US, they risk leaving refugees stranded in airports (again)—pawns for their political agenda.

From the Daily Mail:

President Donald Trump has lost an appeal against a court ruling blocking his travel ban on certain travellers and all refugees.

The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco instead asked both the state of Washington and the Trump administration early on Sunday to file more arguments by Monday afternoon.

More here and we can add more links as the day goes on.

As usual CNN this morning was on the side of stripping President Trump of his power to control immigration, while during the Obama Administration they were overjoyed and supportive as Obama said immigration was his prerogative under the Constitution.  The double standard is maddening to behold.

And, to further my annoyance level this morning. They are blasting Trump for saying something derogatory about the US in his O’Reilly interview when they said not a peep when Obama went on his apology tour of the Middle East and Africa early in his Administration.

By the way, where is Congress?  We have three branches of government. Can’t they do more there to support the President?

  1. Why does the 9th always get to decide immigration issue? everyone knows that they are the most liberal district in the country and that their opinion opposes the wants of the majority of our people on this issue, as usual.

  2. I think that the majority of Americans who supported Obama during his reign believed that checks and balances on executive powers didn’t apply to him, for some reason. They also believed that he wasn’t obligated to be the subject of SCOTUS scrutiny. That he got away with what he did was very frustrating and frightening to me. Now that Trump is stretching his powers to the hilt, suddenly these former Obama-supporters become very Constitution-minded. Extremely hypocritical to say the least.

re: your comment about “Trump saying something derogatory about the US”
This had me yelling at my TV.
It was because President Trump said he had “respect” for Putin, and he elaborated on that.
Bill OReilly said, ” but, he’s an assassin”
President Trump said something like, ” well look at the US”
Bill OReilly sounded like an idiot. Obama did give the call to assassinate bin Ladin.
Regardless of whether or not one approves of that call, Obama did do that, not to mention all those killed that the CIA, State Dept won’t own up to.
    The double standard is sickening.

I have not seen the reason a judge has for interfering with Pres. Trump’s EO. I am presuming the majority of the ‘refugees do not have green cards, so I am specially confused as to why they have all the rights of US citizens. FDR singled out Japan in 1941, when he declared war against them, because they attacked the U.S. How is this different?

Article IV, section 4 of the Constitution: “The U.S. guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion and on Application of the Legislature or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against Domestic Violence. Because the Trump administration is in a period of transition, i.e. not all cabinet members have been appointed, or staff of all the agencies approved, my limited knowledge of the Constitution interprets section 4 as giving Pres. Trump permission to issue this EO.

But above all is the Presidential oath of office: “I do solemnly swear…to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

The judge has fostered “many” immigrant children from these countries. So….he gets at least $1000 per month plus food stamps for each child he fosters. Understand now?

    • I have often wondered this myself. Since when does the Constitution apply to foreign nationals? they are not citizens, so many of the protections do not apply to them.

Ann- there’s a wonderful video making the rounds in recent days- President Trump “listening” to BJ Clinton and Hussein speaking on the immigration issue. Thought you’d get a kick out of it. As always, thanks for all you do to make America safe again!

The Washington POOP should be forced to register as a FOREIGN AGENT and state so at the top of every page, every issue, as should every “publication” below. That or be CLOSED.
“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.” -David Rockefeller, Bilderberg 1991 (Baden-Baden Germany)

Good idea would be to send this “Judge” and family to Baghdad for vacation and fact finding education.
We would see their torture and execution on a tape.
so why allow this same mindset into the USA?
