Wow! Trump withdraws US from UN Compact on migration/refugees

Posted by Ann Corcoran on December 3, 2017

“We will decide how best to control our borders and who will be allowed to enter our country.”

(US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley)

The Human Rights Industrial Complex (HRIC) must be going nuts!

Thanks for the tip from reader ‘heymister24’ who sent this overnight.

***Update December 4th*** This news changes the picture. Pres. Trump made the decision himself after Haley wanted to stay in the compact.

Here is Deutsch Welle‘s version of the news (reported in many publications):

The United States has announced it is withdrawing from the Global Compact on Migration. The non-binding UN migration pact was meant to boost international cooperation on migration issues.

US President Donald Trump’s administration has withdrawn the United States from a United Nations pact to coordinate and improve international migration and refugee issues, the US mission to the global body said.

The global approach … not compatible with US sovereignty.”

“Today, the US Mission to the United Nations informed the UN Secretary-General that the United States is ending its participation in the Global Compact on Migration,” the US mission to the UN said.

In September 2016, all 193 UN member states of the General Assembly adopted the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants. [You may remember that was Obama’s big show at the UN.—ed]

The non-binding declaration includes a set of pledges to protect migrants, foster migrant integration, develop guidelines on the treatment of vulnerable migrants and strengthen global governance of migration, among other issues.

“The New York Declaration contains numerous provisions that are inconsistent with US immigration and refugee policies and the Trump Administration’s immigration principles. As a result, President Trump determined that the United States would end its participation in the Compact process that aims to reach international consensus at the UN in 2018,” the US statement said.

US Ambassador Nikki Haley said, “America is proud of our immigrant heritage and long-standing leadership” on supporting migrants and refugees.

“No country has done more than the United States, and our generosity will continue. But our decisions on immigration policies must always be made by Americans and Americans alone,” she added. “We will decide how best to control our borders and who will be allowed to enter our country. The global approach in the New York Declaration is simply not compatible with US sovereignty.”

I hope this means we are going to choose our own refugees (if any) without dancing to the UNHCR’s tune going forward.

Mostly I tell readers to complain to the President about something. This time send him your thanks by clicking here.

Outstanding! I trust that the President will address this issue with the Prime Minister of Canada as Mr. Trudeau has indicated that 1,000,000 ‘refugees’ will be brought into Canada over 3 years….vetted by the United Nations…and this treasonous invasion of Canada will be a clear and present danger to the USA…when one considers the length of the Canada/US border….and Canada as a transit point to the US….

(and I thanked him via WH site)

Good! Now, if there are any white S. Africans left by 2018, maybe they can apply for refugee status and actually GET it here in the US.

Thank you Anne for your persistence! bravery, and informative service!!

I did write the President – again – this time to thank him for this wonderful news. ( I adore Nikki Hailey!). Now if the truth about these resettlement’s could be told more often. I must now write Congress people and news organizations demanding to expose the truth about $$$ and results of these refugee policies.

I was a staff member in the Evangelical Covenant Church for 14 years until last January when I took a leave of Absence due to being censored for commenting on Facebook about Obama’s harm to America (supporting covert Islamic intentions by infusing enough practicing Muslims in US to change our laws in contrast to our founders who understood these intentions.) Then, when I read the proclamation by the North Park University (Covenant’s only U and seminary) President that asserted that you could not be a practicing Christian unless you welcomed ALL immigrants -aka sojourners – I decided to leave that church.

I’ve had some conversations – albeit strained – with a member (daughter of my best – conservative! – friends) who formerly was employed by some refugee assistance program in Chicago claiming how important it is. I don’t doubt she was genuinely helpful to needy people! Just another example of our younger generations not seeing the forest for the trees and being brain washed by modern ‘education’ in these, as well as, so many important matters relating to freedom that the US has long stood for and protected!!!

Thank you for your important work!! Dawn

Thanks! And, next time you have a conversation with a caring person who helped the needy refugees, ask why they aren’t helping impoverished Americans first and foremost—the homeless, vets , elderly people living alone. Why is a refugee who comes from somewhere else so much more attractive to them.

I heard President TRUMP say this at least two weeks ago in a speech. I figured you already knew it and were already dancing in the streets.
