Orban to EU: Hungary is “not a nation of migrants”

Posted by Ann Corcoran on September 12, 2018

Invasion of Europe news…..

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stood firm before the EU Parliament yesterday in the face of a so-called Section 7 vote, an effort to force him and Hungary to open borders to the migrant invaders arriving in Europe by the tens of thousands each year.

Orban at EU

Orban at the European Union: You are not going to condemn us for wanting to save our Christian nation!

Here is what Russia Today says, but there are many similar accounts of what happened if RT makes you squeamish.

‘You condemn us because we are not a nation of migrants,’ Orban tells EU before sanctions vote

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban delivered a fiery speech to European lawmakers in Strasbourg, before they began deliberations on suspending the country’s key EU rights due to his government’s policies.

Orban accused the “pro-migrant majority” of having “already made up their minds” to invoke the European Union Treaty’s Article 7 against Hungary, for its treatment of migrants and minorities, and the ruling party purported abuse of the law and suppression of media freedoms.

“Hungary will not accede to this blackmailing, Hungary will protect its borders, stop illegal migration and – if needed – we will stand up to you,” said Orban, who was re-elected with an overwhelming majority in April.

Hungary is going to be condemned because the Hungarian people have decided that this country is not going to be a country of migrants.”

Calling the proceedings an “insult” to his nation, Orban called Hungary the “defender of Europe” and spoke of its “different view on Christianity in Europe, the role of nations and national culture.”

Sargentini is from The Netherlands and a member of the GreenLeft.

“These differences cannot be a reason to brand any country and be excluded from joint decisions. We would never go as far as to silence those that do not agree with us,” said the Hungarian prime minister, as the majority of the chamber sat in silence, while his mostly Euroskeptic supporters cheered.

Article 7 is applied if an EU member state presents a “systemic threat” to the bloc’s values, which Hungary was adjudged to have done in a report by Green MEP Judith Sargentini earlier this year, and could result in Budapest losing its voting representation in various European bodies, becoming a pariah state in the union.

Vote is today!

RT continues…

It requires for two-thirds of MEPs to vote in favor of accepting the report on Wednesday, after European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker delivers his annual State of the Union speech.

This is considered likely, but all the other EU nations would then need to agree unanimously to punish Budapest. Such consensus has never been achieved, meaning that Article 7 has never been implemented, and is not likely this time either.

More here.

And, in the Guardian story about the speech we are told Orban said this:

“But still I have come here today because you are not going to condemn a government but a country as well as a nation. You are going to denounce Hungary that has been a member of the family of Christian nations for a thousand years.”

And, one more thing!  When is President Trump going to invite Prime Minister Viktor Orban to the White House?

I am happy to see nations preserving and protecting their heritage of Christian values. What I fear is domination by one religion and persecution of minorities. Prophecy predicts that so please don’t let Hungary relinquish its religious freedom

  3. Sargentini is a complete hypocrite. How can anyone be green and simultaneously advocate for overpopulation through mass immigration? environmentalists are being hoodwinked and turned into useful idiots by the leftists, whom history has shown really care nothing about the environment.

And he’s right ! Hungary remembers well all of the invasions of the past, over their long history, by Muslims, Ottomans and finally by Austrians and Nazi’s and Russians and they do not take kindly to INVADERS !

  6. Reblogged this on islamnewworldorder and commented:
Stand tall, Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary. I remember in 1956 when the Soviets were crushing the revolt in Hungary. I was 11 years old and cheering for the Hungarian rebels.
In other words, Hungary and her neighbors understand very well being controlled by tyrants…tyrants like this Judith Sargentini, the Green MEP weenie from the Netherlands (who should be JOINING Hungary!)
The Not-elected-by-the-people EU is as big a joke as the islamic-run UN!

  7. Just sent the following message to the White House: Mr. President please do all you can to support and be a good friend to the great nation of Hungary, led by the brilliant, courageous, heroic Victor Orban, who is being attacked by all of Europe—the EU—because he does not want his small nation totally overwhelmed and destroyed and made Muslim by unlimited immigration! He and the Hungarians should know that they have a friend in America who can help them in their crisis. Thank you.

  8. It’s great to see a leader standing up to the progressive, globalist, open border leftist. Hopefully others will join Hungary. Great job Orban!

I can actually hear a bugle going off in my head right now, and based upon the environment in which I was raised (Thank God), I can hear revel being played.. Judith, can you hear it too? It’s a wake up call..

Now, if only Hungary could get rid of the stench of George Soros, life would be almost perfect, and a beautiful thing for the Hungarian people.. GO HUNGARY!
