Ohio Gov Kasich: The Lord wants us to accept the migrant caravan; Biblical expert: not so fast!

Posted by Ann Corcoran on October 29, 2018

Ohio is developing in to one of the most migrant ‘welcoming’ states in the nation thanks to its present governor and former candidate for President, John Kasich.

But, this is a bit much even for him!

For all of you who are sick of the ‘welcome the stranger’ club many leaders of the Religious Left beat you up with these days, there are some things in this story you should know.

From The Ohio Star:

Ohio Gov. Kasich: ‘The Lord’ Doesn’t Want Americans to Oppose Migrant Caravan

Ohio Gov. John Kasich told CNN Thursday that “the Lord” doesn’t want Americans to build walls and oppose the migrant caravan heading to the United States from Central America.

“We’ve got to start putting ourselves in the shoes of other people,” Kasich told CNN’s Newsroom.

Kasich, the grandson of Catholic immigrants from Eastern Europe who became an Anglican Christian as an adult, said he believes most Americans would welcome the caravan.

But not all Christians agree with the governor’s take on biblical truth.

Kelly Kullberg, a Christian Ohioan who is editor and co-author of Finding God at Harvard, leads the new American Association of Evangelicals and has served as a missionary in Guatemala and El Salvador.

She said the Bible has a lot to say about nations, but nowhere does it teach nations to open their borders to mass migration.

“While I appreciate Gov. Kasich’s Christian faith and compassion, I would encourage him to reconsider the nature of love and the balanced wisdom of Scripture,” Kullberg told The Ohio Star. “The Bible does not teach open borders, but wise welcome.”

Continue here as Kullberg gives you some ideas on responses to those who are cherry-picking the Bible to support their leftwing views on immigration.

  1. Kasich is now, always has been, and always will be, a jibbering, drooling, imbecilic horse’s ass. Indeed he’s one of the many brain-dead liberal Christians who are directly responsible for the moral and economic devastation of Christianity. They distort Christian doctrine horribly, equating forgiveness and compassion with self-abasement and self-loathing, and viewing plain scriptural text as “a living document”, that changes easily with the times. He’s just a very rare liberal who happens to be Christian.

I SEE NOTHING BIBLICAL ABOUT LETTING CRIMINALS IN WHO BREAK DOWN OUR DOOR, INVADE US IN EVERY WAY, WANT TO STEAL FROM US, AND IN THE PROCESS INFLICT NUMEROUS DISEASES THAT WE ARE NO EQUIPPED TO HANDLE OR SHOULD CONTRACT OURSELVES!!!

A close look at the Hebrew Bible merits a mention of circumcision to cement allegiance to the adopted homeland. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ger_toshav

this woman is saying exactly what i meant in an earlier comment about how the church is meant too assist these individuals..not move them out..not encourage them to leave but to stay and build their communities..offer ways to improve their living situation not uproot them..not make them migrants or homeless or refugees..help them to be a better citizen in their country and help them become better caretakers of each other..not abandon everything including hope!!!

So Kasich has a direct Hot Line to The Lord ????? The FACT IS, that USA and the taxpayers of USA are already providing billions of dollars in aid to these Central American countries so that their people can get help IN PLACE, where they are and not have to abandon their families, culture and nations. But their corrupt governments aren’t doing anything for THEIR OWN PEOPLE! Those governments should be called to account by the UN and not be allowed to just dump their excess population on neighboring countries !
