He was headed to Malaysia, now he is happily settled in Arizona (on your dime!)

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 21, 2018

….and plans to bring his wife and daughter to live here too! (He left them behind at least 5 years ago in ‘dangerous’ Iran).

Australia’s SBS News appears to be doing a series on those lucky, mostly Muslim, ‘refugees’ who attempted to get to Australia illegally and were then detained for nearly 5 years in offshore detention facilities with the Australian government refusing to consider their asylum claims.hit-the-jackpot3

Many are hitting the jackpot and although Australia isn’t letting them in they are now free in America.  And, every few weeks a new batch arrives.

Here is a story about one of those that Australia didn’t want, but Obama did and arranged for many to come just as he was walking out of the White House.

Trump is now honoring a deal he once called “dumb.”

(See my yuuuge archive on the Australia deal by clicking here.)

You can read the entire gushing story yourself, but what got me is that the star of the story was initially headed for Malaysia, a Muslim country, and only at the urging of a friend got on a people smuggling boat headed for Australia.

As many of my readers have commented over the years—so if it was so dangerous back home, why did these men leave their wives and children behind?

From SBS News:

[Phoenix, Arizona] is home to Reza Mohammad Nezhad, an Iranian refugee who in 2013 fled his homeland amid fears of persecution, and would eventually try to reach Australia.  [They never tell us exactly why these Muslim men were persecuted. We are expected to take their word for it.—ed]

The 43-year-old left behind his wife and young child, hoping one day they could join him.

He travelled to Malaysia, then Christmas Island, but he was detained in Australia’s Manus Island holding facilities in Papua New Guinea, where he would spend almost four-and-a-half years.

[….]

Reza intended to settle in Malaysia after he fled Iran, but changed his mind after a friend there recommended Australia. People in Australia did not harass refugees, his friend said; they had freedom and a strong democracy. It would be a journey he would soon regret.

From Indonesia, Reza boarded a people-smuggling boat headed for Christmas Island. [Indonesia is a Muslim country too—ed]

[….]

“I was chosen to be resettled in Arizona,” he told SBS News through a translator. “I don’t know their reasoning, but they chose Arizona for me.”

[US State Department is building ethnic enclaves where people of certain cultures/religions get to live with their own kind of people and they have contractors facilitating the project! Never mind that you are a racist if you want to live with your people!—ed]

[….]

He has also got involved with the Iranian American Society of Arizona, which holds several cultural events in the city each week.

“There are many Iranians living here,” he said. “It’s a good city. I’m happy here.”

It’s warm too, which he likes, and he doesn’t feel out of place in a city packed with minority groups. More than 40 per cent of people in Phoenix are Hispanic; Mexico is just 200km to the city’s south.

[….]

In one year Reza will be eligible for permanent residency in the US. In five years, he will be able to apply for citizenship. He hopes he will be able to bring his wife and daughter to be with him soon. [Chain migration!—ed]

Continue here and note the anti-Trump tone of the SBS story even as it was Trump who is making all of this possible for these lucky jackpot winners!

Next bunch of Australian detainees headed to US yesterday

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 19, 2018

Australia did not grant them asylum (refugee status), but we are in what has to be the dumbest refugee deal ever heard of!

Manus island detainees

Some of these men are already walking free in your US town! Manus Island locals don’t want them there:  http://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-41812189

This bunch of 35 (flying yesterday) will bring the number of mostly single Muslim men from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Rohingya (Burma), free to walk the streets in Any Town, USA, to nearly 200.

Do we really expect these fighting age young men to go cheerfully into meatpacking companies to do slaughterhouse work?

But, take heart! Trump’s travel ban is saving us from Iranians—BFD!

I will repeat, if just one, of what could ultimately be 1,250 of the newly minted ‘refugees,’ becomes a problem it will be on Donald Trump because he should have followed his original instincts this time last year and killed the “dumb” deal!

And, refugee contracting agencies should be shaking in their boots because just one bad apple will bring more anti-refugee headlines.  Recently we learned that some were going to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina, here.

See all of my dumb-deal posts by clicking here.

From The Guardian:

Another 35 refugees are leaving Nauru for the United States on Sunday, the third group to depart Australia’s offshore immigration centres this week.

Almost all are single Afghan, Pakistani or Rohingya men, along with one Sri Lankan family and one Bangladeshi refugee, said Ian Rintoul of the the Refugee Action Coalition.

The makeup further confirms fears that Iranians, who make up the largest national group on Nauru, have so far been excluded from the US intake. Iran was proscribed by Donald Trump’s “travel ban”.

So far 84 people have flown from Nauru and another 85 from Papua New Guinea’s Manus Island to the US under the resettlement deal, with at least one more flight expected to leave this month.

About 2,000 refugees and asylum seekers remain in Australia’s offshore system.

The controversial “US deal” – decried as “dumb” but upheld by Trump – was brokered by his predecessor, Barack Obama, and the Australian prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, in September 2016.

There is much more (here) including a lengthy discussion about how some of the ‘refugees’ were just walking around Manus Island, minding their own business, when they were attacked by local police.

And, of course the detainees have twitter accounts to alert the world of the abuses they supposedly suffer.

Trump is scheduled to meet with Australian Prime Minister Turnbull later this week, see here.

In my opinion, the President should be inviting Hungarian PM Orban to the White House instead!  LOL! They could compare notes on how much George Soros hates them!

Is Trump planning to suck-up to Aussie PM Turnbull next week? The Australian thinks so

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 14, 2018

Is that why the number of fake ‘refugees’ arriving in the US from Australia has picked up—-President Trump wants to have the meetings begin on a positive note?

This is yet another update on the “dumb” deal that President Obama made with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull just as Obama was walking out the door in 2016, a deal that Trump has agreed to honor.

Australia doesn’t want them!

Trump and Turnbull

Trump is saving Turnbull’s political hide and we would like to know why!  One of these detainees goes off the rails and it will be Trump whose hide is in danger.

At first there was hope that President Trump would dump the deal where we agreed to take up to 1,250 ‘asylum seekers’ being held by Australia in offshore detention camps in exchange for Australia taking Central Americans in Costa Rica.

Do any of you see what we get out of this “deal?”  Those Costa Rica fake refugees are not our problem either!

By the way, the No Borders International Left has succeeded in so muddying the waters about who is, and who isn’t, a refugee that it’s even got the Australian media calling Salvadorans refugees just because their country is a hellhole and they don’t have jobs.

A legitimate refugee must be able to prove he/she will be PERSECUTED if returned to a home country—poverty and crime are not persecution!

Here is The Australian suggesting that the number of detainees being moved to the US (where they will be free) has picked up because Trump wants to please Turnbull.  (Sorry The Australian link isn’t working because it is behind a pay wall.)

Huh! I sure hope this isn’t a suck-up move on Trump’s part. He had it right when he said it was a “dumb” deal that could politically “kill” him.  Just one of these Muslim men goes off the rails and it will be all on Trump (we will be watching!).

The controversial Australia-US refugee swap is gathering pace ahead of Malcolm Turnbull’s meeting with Donald Trump in Washington next week.

Two groups of refugees were this week sent from Manus Island in Papua New Guinea and Nauru to the US, and two groups of asylum-seekers from El Salvador have been assembled in Costa Rica for clearance to resettle in Australia.

Immigration officials have denied the refugee deals were linked but they were the source of early friction between the President and Prime Minister.

Mr Trump slammed the deal negotiated with Barack Obama as “the worst deal ever”, “stupid” and said it would “kill” him politically. But the US has stuck to its agreement to take 1250 refugees from the Middle East and Asia who were denied entry to Australia after arriving by boat and diverted to Nauru and Manus Island for processing.

In return, Australia has agreed to take refugees fleeing one of the countries reportedly labelled a “shit hole” by Mr Trump at the height of a recent US debate on immigration.

Salvadorans are NOT refugees!

The Australian continues….

Refugee numbers have exploded in El Salvador in recent years in response to a breakdown of law and order.

A UNHRC [UNHCR-ed]spokesman in New York said about 30 Salvadorian refugees were in Costa Rica en route to Australia.

[….]

But resettlement of refugees from Manus Island to the US has been stepped up ahead of next week’s meeting between Mr Trump and Mr Turnbull. A third group of 18 refugees from Manus Island flew from Port Moresby yesterday to be resettled in the US.

The men were all single Afghan, Pakistani and Rohingyan refugees.

And, although in detention on offshore islands for years, they will be free on the streets of Your Town, USA!

Click here for all the posts about the long sorry history of the dumb deal which by the way sets a terrible precedent for the refugee program going forward.

Next batch of Australian rejected asylum seekers headed our way, mostly single men

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 12, 2018

They are mostly single men from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Burma (Rohingya) and they are on their way to Anytown, USA.

Here is the news at The Guardian:

The fourth group of refugees to be accepted for resettlement in the United States from Australia’s offshore immigration regime [detention centers!—ed] are poised to leave Nauru for the US, via Fiji.

The 22 refugees are all single men except for one Rohingyan man and his wife, according to Ian Rintoul from the Refugee Action Coalition.

Ian Rintoul

Socialist refugee advocate Ian Rintoul:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Rintoul

It is the second group to leave Nauru under the controversial resettlement program, following two groups that have also been resettled from Australia’s detention centre on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea.

The latest cohort will bring the number of refugees resettled in the US to about 110. About 2,000 refugees and asylum seekers remain in Australia’s offshore system.

The controversial “US deal” – decried as “dumb” but upheld by the US president Donald Trump – was brokered by his predecessor Barack Obama and the Australian prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, in September 2016.

Mr. Prez where are you?

Why is the US running camps in Costa Rica (unprecedented!) in the first place, and remember escaping violence in one’s own country does not make someone a legitimate REFUGEE!

In exchange for the US considering to resettle 1,250 refugees from Australia’s offshore camps, Australia has agreed to take refugees from US-run refugee camps in Costa Rica. Those refugees are from the violence-plagued northern triangle countries of central America: El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

Rintoul said all the refugees in the new cohort are Afghans, Pakistanis and Rohingya. The makeup further confirms fears that Iranians, who make up the largest national group on Nauru, will be excluded from the US intake.

There is a discussion about how we (and the Aussie government) are mean and insisting that only single men be allowed to be placed in America.  But, it is a bit deceptive because the families are on Australian soil, and I will bet we said, no way are we bringing the whole family when they are already firmly planted in Australia.

But, of course there is no reason to bring any of them. These are Australia’s problem not ours!

Go here for my extensive archive on the Australia “dumb” deal.

UN: Western countries not ‘welcoming’ enough ‘refugees’ now residing in Indonesia

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 3, 2018

Let’s be clear right off the bat.  Indonesia is a Muslim country and most of those attempting to pass through Indonesia (arriving there illegally), with a goal of being resettled in the US, Australia, Canada, or Europe, are Muslims.

What happened to the supposedly humanitarianism of Islam and governments ruled by it?  Why are these people our problem in the first place?

The truth is that Indonesia doesn’t want them either!

For years the UN has been processing illegal aliens arriving in Indonesia from Somalia etc. in to your US towns via the US State Department.  Frankly it needs to stop and it looks like it is slowing.

I just checked Wrapsnet for processing through Indonesia to the US and found that we admitted 18 cases (21 individuals indicating most are single (men?) people, hmmm) in the first three months of FY18 (beginning Oct. 1, 2017).

Indonesia waiting

Waiting in Indonesia for a ticket to America, Australia, Canada, Europe…..

Here is Gulf News (NY Times story):

(Journalism 101 requires that every refugee story begins with a sob story!)

JAKARTA: Ebrahim Adam fled armed conflict in his home region of Darfur, Sudan, in 2011, and ended up seeking asylum in Indonesia, hoping to be eventually resettled in Australia or another Western country so he could resume his dream of being an economist. [Usually they want to be doctors, so they say!—ed]

But after languishing for nearly seven years in Indonesia — where he cannot legally work, access public services or obtain citizenship — Ebrahim recently received bad news: His resettlement is unlikely to ever happen. The UN Refugee Agency’s office in Indonesia has begun informing the nearly 14,000 refugees and asylum seekers in Indonesia that they should not expect to be welcomed by another country. Instead, they should prepare to assimilate into Indonesian society as best they can, or consider returning to their strife-torn countries.

[….]

Analysts said Ebrahim faces additional obstacles: He is single, Muslim and of military age, which could make countries worried about terrorism less likely to take him in.

[….]

Globally, there are more than 24 million certified refugees and asylum seekers, the highest levels since the Second World War, according to the United Nations.

Historically, the chances of refugees ever being resettled are only around 1 per cent.

Those refugees residing in Indonesia face the additional obstacle that the United States and Australia, the two main resettlement destinations for refugees here, have put in place more stringent immigration policies, further decreasing their already long odds.

Mark Getchell

“Mark Getchell, the IOM’s chief of mission in Indonesia, said the policy changes in Australia and the United States, combined with a reluctance by Canada, New Zealand and European nations to take in additional refugees, means the number of resettlements are only about 400 people a year now in Indonesia.” (IOM is a branch of the UN)

[….]

The situation of refugees hoping for resettlement in the West became more dire after President Donald Trump took office last January. His administration’s travel ban blocks people from eight countries from entering the US, including Somalia, the country with the second-highest number of refugees and asylum seekers stuck in Indonesia.

400 too many!

Last year, only about 400 refugees living in Indonesia were resettled in the United States, according to the United Nations. Indonesia is not a signatory to the 1951 UN refugee convention, which prohibits governments from returning people fleeing persecution to areas where they face serious threats, but the country has allowed certified refugees to remain here as they await resettlement in a third country.

[….]

For years, asylum-seekers from the Middle East and South Asia have used Indonesia as a transit point to reach Australia, boarding rickety wooden boats run by human smugglers for the perilous voyage across the Indian Ocean.

In 2013, however, the Australian government adopted strict new measures to discourage future arrivals by immediately transferring those who made it to its shores to spartan detention centers in Papua New Guinea and Nauru, and refusing to ever consider them for resettlement.

But, golly gee, now we get the booby prize!  We admit to America those same lawbreakers who attempted to get to Australia and were detained. And, we pay for it thanks to the Obama “dumb” deal that Trump agreed to!

More from Gulf News here.

It would make enormous sense if the UN spent more time persuading Indonesia to keep their coreligionists, and promote a PR campaign through Africa and the Middle East that there is no ticket to the West through Indonesia!

Australia “dumb” deal update: More vetting ordered for next batch of fake ‘refugees’

Posted by Ann Corcoran on January 25, 2018

This is now the third post in three days about the Obama deal with Australia to take to America over a thousand illegal aliens*** who tried to break into Australia and who were subsequently detained in offshore locations.  See here and here for background.

Amazing how little US media attention is being paid to the deal that Trump (foolishly in my opinion) went along with!

Now we learn from RNZ (New Zealand) that a new round of vetting will begin shortly.

Manus protestors

Protests continue….  A picture worth a thousand words.  https://www.radionz.co.nz/news/pacific/348913/more-us-vetting-for-manus-refugees

So far, if the detainee is from one of the banned countries, they are not being considered, but frankly that makes no difference because those on the way to your states are from mostly Muslim Pakistan, Afghanistan and Burma (Rohingya).

Radio New Zealand:

Refugees detained by Australia on Papua New Guinea’s Manus Island have been advised more vetting for United States resettlement will begin at the end of the month.

About 110 refugees from Manus and Nauru have been taken by the US so far, with another 130 from Nauru expected to go in the coming weeks.

The US agreed to take up to 1250 refugees from Australian offshore detention in November 2016.

A note telling the refugees about the upcoming vetting was posted online by the Kurdish journalist and Manus Island refugee Behrouz Boochani.

Screenshot (159)

“Journalist?” Social media is available to detainees like this one.  They probably all have phones too!

It said the selected men would be transported to Port Moresby to attend appointments and then returned to Manus Island.

Refugees from six Muslim-majority nations including Iran will not be considered due to a US travel ban on their residents.

Australian statistics from 2014 indicate the majority of Manus Island refugees are from Iran.

More here.

Thought you might like to see some comments from readers to my previous post on the Australia “dumb” deal.

‘FatherJon’ from Australia says this:

No surprises that some of them couldn’t substantiate their bona fides, seeing as the trick was for them to destroy or sell their IDs prior to being landed in Australia in order to re-establish favourable identities as someone else. Unsurprisingly the do-gooders prefer not to acknowledge that, claiming the IDs were ‘lost’ at sea. As for ‘youngsters’ being amongst them, that’s more confected narrative, many of them were clearly young adult males at time of landing, but claimed to be under 18 yoa, in order to gain greater sympathy from laws dealing with children, similar to America’s problems with ‘kids’ from Latin America.

The list goes on…..they have more tricks than in Harry Houdini’s toy box!

‘Kiltsandaggers:’

I see that at least two of them want to study “human rights”. Will this study include our rights, the rights of legitimate citizens of this country? I feel that my right to safety and a quality of life that includes not being crowded or forced to compete for scarce resources are being violated by these people’s presence here. And what about the rights of people who have been murdered, raped, robbed and tortured by “refugees” who should have never been allowed into our country in the first place? If they are really so concerned with human rights, stop ignoring ours for a change.

‘TakeBackOurRepublic:’

As always seems to be the case, if these are truly refugees then where are the women and children?? If Australia was unwilling to integrate these men into their cities, why didn’t they just return them to whence they came? Their resulting anger, sexual repression and mental health issues after being sequestered for 5 years in a remote location are now America’s to bear. There is nothing about this bad “deal” that Obama committed us to that makes sense. Shame on President Trump!

‘Mn4freedom:’

I wonder if they’ll get a “Welcoming” parade from our local “welcoming” community organizers? We will be watching. We will hold them accountable. That is YOU LIRS in my area!  [LIRS is the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service which we learned previously is one of the federal contractors being paid to place the Australian rejects into US towns.—ed]

See my complete (extensive!) archive on the Australia “dumb” deal by clicking here.  If you once knew but have forgotten, as part of the unprecedented deal, Australia is going to take some Central American Christians now in Costa Rica in exchange. (So how are those people even our problem?)

LOL! Donald! It is “dumb!”

US to Australia: We will take over a thousand illegal alien Muslims off your hands.

Australia to US: And, in exchange we will take an undetermined number of Christian economic migrants presently living in Costa Rica off your (US) hands. (huh!)

***I repeat, legitimate refugees are to ask for asylum in the first safe place they land.  If they fail to be granted asylum by proving they would be persecuted if sent home, they should be returned to where they came from, not be given the ultimate jackpot—a free ticket to America.

Flight glitch causes some delay as Australia’s rejected ‘refugees’ head to US

Posted by Ann Corcoran on January 24, 2018

More information about yesterday’s news.

Secrecy continues….

Which of these men is coming to your town?

manus-island-refugees-1-960x540

‘Refugees’ who attempted to break in to Australia were detained on Manus Island. Some are on flights to American towns and cities. Photo: https://thenewdaily.com.au/news/national/2017/11/13/manus-island-refugees-asylum-seekers/

Perhaps the most telling bit of this whole story at SBS News is the last line:

The transfers have been challenging for journalists to cover, with American, Australian and United Nations’ authorities refusing to confirm or deny the flights.

If this is such a good and humanitarian thing, why is it being kept from you?

We do, however, learn a few more nuggets from this latest report on the illegitimate ‘refugees.’

Besides one headed to Elizabeth, NJ, another young Muslim man (that Australia did not permit to come to its mainland) is headed to Knoxville, TN where he wants to study about human rights (will we see him out protesting Trump at the next election?).

Just what America needs more human rights agitators! Jobs Americans won’t do?

A transfer of about 40 refugees from Manus Island to the United States hit a road-bump in Manila on Tuesday afternoon when a number of men were unable to transfer to their flight to New York, SBS News has learned.

Organisers of the refugee transfer had given men tickets for a flight through Vancouver, but SBS News understands they were denied boarding because they did not have the required travel documents to transfer through Canada. Several of the men are stateless.

The men, who had been due to separate from the other refugees in Manila boarded the same flight to Los Angeles five hours later. The flight landed in LA at roughly 12:40pm Australian time.

The men, who have spent upwards of four years stranded in Papua New Guinea, will be settled in locations including Knoxville in Tennessee, Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, Elizabeth in New Jersey, Atlanta in Georgia and in North Carolina. Those transferring through New York will now arrive a day late.

[….]

Mushtaq Hussain, whose 22-year-old brother is part of the latest transfer, told SBS News his brother Sajid was ready to start a new life in Tennessee.

“He wants to study and work also, and he wants to see our parents because he was very young when he was locked in Manus Island,” the 29-year-old older brother said.

[Very young? He makes it sound like he was there as a tiny child. These latest illegal migrants detained on Manus have been there for a maximum of 5 years, so Mushtaq would have been 17. And, where are the parents, in Knoxville?—ed]

“He like human rights and maybe he will study about human rights.”  [Tell me why the younger brother couldn’t have joined his older brother in Indonesia instead of getting a ticket to America after trying to illegally break in to Australia?—ed]

Airfare ‘loans’

It is not clear if this special group of special people will have to reimburse US taxpayers for the cost of their airfare!

Readers need to know that ‘refugees’ are required to pay back the airfare, but they do it through the resettlement agency that then keeps a cut of what they extract from the refugees.

The US State Department refuses to reveal how many loans are repaid (see here).

So what is the penalty for not repaying the loan? They are told they will have a bad credit rating! No kidding, so some refugee from the third world who may not have seen toilets even is expected to be frightened in to paying because of threats of a bad credit score—-arghhhh!

SBS continues….

The US government usually requires refugees to repay the cost of their transfer once they are established in the United States, a request to confirm that this would also be the case for refugees under the Australian deal was not met with a response before publication.

After five years in the United States, refugees are eligible to apply for US citizenship.

Four federal resettlement contractors are named:

Upon landing at their final destinations, the men will be met by various American resettlement agencies, such as the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the International Rescue Committee and the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants.

The settlement agencies are contracted to provide 90 days of support for new arrivals, including registering for identification and employment services and assisting with access to healthcare and education. [Mental healthcare and WELFARE!—ed]

More here.

Readers you need to get this information out as far and wide as you can.

Taxpaying citizens would be furious if they even knew!

Maybe Trump had a legitimate reason to go along with this “dumb” and costly deal that Obama arranged as he was walking out the door. I don’t know, but I can’t imagine one because Australia needs us more than we need Australia.

This we know….

The Australia deal is so outrageous and so unheard-of even in the refugee world, that it adds another black spot to the whole secretive UN/US Refugee Admissions Program.

If I was working for a refugee contractor*** I would be shaking in my boots.  If just one of these guys (who will be in need of mental health treatment) goes off the rails and commits a violent crime or terrorist act it will be another (maybe final!) nail in the coffin for the program.

We will be watching!

Australia “dumb deal” archive is here.

Australian rejected ‘refugees’ on the way to US this week!

Posted by Ann Corcoran on January 23, 2018

We can get excited about the slowdown in the normal refugee flow to America (see post yesterday), but here comes the very abnormal flow—58 of the Australia-rejected mostly single men who have been detained by the Aussies for as long as four years will now be free in America.

The deal, originally agreed to by Obama as he was walking out the door, represents an application of international refugee law that is simply unheard of and possibly illegal.

A legitimate asylum seeker is to ask for asylum in the first safe country in which he or she arrives.  If Australia rejected them, they should be returned home, not given a ticket to America!

Australian detainees on the way

Here they come, mostly Muslim young men that Australia refused to admit to its mainland.   Photo: SBS News

This batch is going to: North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Georgia!

And, you know that resettlement contract agencies in those states know they are coming and this will all be kept secret from your ‘welcoming’ towns!

Here is the latest about the hush-hush movement of 58 of the men from mostly Middle Eastern countries to Anytown, USA.

From Australia’s SBS News (emphasis is mine):

Ian Rintoul, activist and refugee advocate, says 40 left on one flight on Tuesday morning bound for Manila where, he says, they’re due to be split up – one group bound for New York, the other group travelling on to Los Angeles.

One US resettlement agency has confirmed they are coming, but you can be sure that you, citizens of that town, will not be told!

US, Australian and United Nations authorities involved with the transfer have all refused to confirm or deny the transfer details, but at least one refugee agency in the United States told SBS News that they have received official advance notice of several arrivals.  [Who?—ed]

Refugees will be resettled in locations which include North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Georgia, according to information from refugee advocates and resettlement agencies.

26-year-old Shafiq Turi, who said he has been told he will be resettled this week in Elizabeth, New Jersey….

[….]

54 refugees from Nauru and PNG were resettled under the arrangement last year.

“I’m so happy for those people coming here,” said Reza Mohammad Nezhadtazkam, a 43 year old Iranian man from Manus Island who was resettled in Arizona last year.

So 58 in this group plus 54 last year, and 130 additional ready to go too!

The Guardian reports that roughly 130 people from Nauru will also be transferred in the upcoming cohort, with advocates expecting that a flight from Nauru will depart later this week.

‘A horrible deal’

Trump and Turnbull

Trump should have followed his initial instincts. If just one of these men turns out to be a criminal or terrorist, it will be on Trump. We will be watching!

The official shroud of secrecy around the transfers has made it challenging to report on the progress of the deal, which rose to prominence when it was the subject of a combative, leaked conversation between President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in January last year.

President Trump denounced the agreement as “a horrible deal, a disgusting deal” in the late January call, a transcript of which was later published by the Washington Post.

“This is going to kill me,” he said. “I am the world’s greatest person that does not want to let people into the country.”

[….]

Refugees are met at the airport by American resettlement agencies and taken to temporary accommodation when they reach their final destination.

As with all refugee arrivals in the United States, resettlement agencies then spend the next few days assisting refugees with applying for identification, government documents and employment services. [And WELFARE!—ed]

There is much more at SBS News, click here.

If there are any real investigative reporters out there, you could call resettlement agencies in each state mentioned and see if any will admit that they have Australia’s rejected ‘refugees’ to pick up at the airport shortly!

Australia ignores the UN and the New York Times, selects more Christian refugees

Posted by Ann Corcoran on December 27, 2017

This is what we should be doing as well and it has begun with the Trump Administration restrictions on migration to America from certain regions of the world.

While Australia tells the UN they will pick their own refugees, they are happy to send these detained ‘asylum seekers’ (mostly Muslims) to the US as refugees.

I would be completely cheering for Australia if what Miranda Devine says is really happening, however, Australia is dumping those rejected asylum seekers (mostly Muslims) on US towns and cities (with the Trump Administration’s full cooperation), so I’m feeling less enthusiastic about this news (any news telling the UN to take a hike!) than I normally would.***

Columnist Devine tells UN to butt out of Australia immigration policy, here at the Daily Telegraph (hope you don’t get the paywall):

THE United Nations refugee agency was at it again last week pointlessly complaining about Australia’s sovereign right to secure its borders.

At a special press conference in Geneva, the UNHCR demanded the Australian government “live up to its responsibilities and urgently find humane and appropriate solutions” on Manus Island.

This is the organisation which runs refugee camps in the Middle East which are supposed to be for all persecuted, displaced people but which, for some reason, are almost entirely populated by Muslims.

By the way, almost all Syrian refugees admitted to the US in Obama’s last years in office were Muslims and we heard the same thing: the UN was picking our refugees and they were picking from their camps, thus mostly Muslims were being resettled.

It’s a curious demographic imbalance when Christians and other religious minorities are effectively being ethnically cleansed from the region, yet are not safe in UN camps because they are persecuted there by the same people who drove them out of their homes — that is if they weren’t crucified, beheaded or turned into sex slaves first.

But the UN turns a blind eye to the missing Christians on its books, declaring the imbalance a mystery, while attempting to shame countries like Australia to “do more”.

[….]

The New York Times reported these numbers as “Australia’s Immoral Preference for Christian Refugees”, with an opinion column arguing that “Selecting refugees based on their spiritual beliefs is a form of state-supported prejudice that secular societies like Australia have a moral obligation to reject.”

I didn’t see that New York Times piece, but they show their ignorance because I will bet a buck that the NYT cheered (or at least didn’t say anything about “state-supported prejudice”) when the US opened its doors to Russian Jews (calling them refugees), by the tens of thousands, a few decades ago.

And, I doubt they ever editorialized against the Lautenberg Amendment, here.

Devine continued:

What about the UN’s apparent discrimination against Christians in its refugee camps? If the UN wants to claim the moral high ground, it should get its own house in order first.

January 12th: next batch of Australian detainees headed to Any Town, USA

Posted by Ann Corcoran on December 16, 2017

And, because of Trump’s ‘travel ban’ they will mostly be single men from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Rohingya from Burma and Bangladesh (countries NOT banned).

It has been almost a year since Donald Trump said that Obama’s deal was “dumb,” but we are going through with it anyway.  (See my dumb deal archive here.)

And, remember readers, that once these mostly Muslim young men arrive in your towns (unbeknownst to you), they won’t be detainees as they are on offshore Australian islands, but will be free and walking your streets.

australian refugees freedom

They will be free alright—in your neighborhood!

As legal refugees they will get housing, food stamps, medical care and job counseling (Will they be good meatpacker workers? I doubt it!).

We learned two days ago that many have mental health issues due to long incarcerations in all-male facilities. (Costly mental health treatment!)

Here is The Guardian with the latest:

Nearly 200 refugees from Australia’s offshore detention islands of Nauru and Manus will be resettled in the United States in the new year.

But the newly-reinstated travel ban imposed by US president Donald Trump is excluding certain nationalities, including Iranians and Somalis, from resettlement.

[….]

The Trump travel ban, reinstated by the US supreme court earlier this month, suspends the entry into the US of nationals from Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, North Korea and Venezuela.

[….]

The Guardian understands about 130 people from Nauru have been accepted to move to the US, and close to 60 from PNG.

The group will be the second cohort resettled under the US deal brokered in 2016, after 54 refugees went to the US in September.

The majority of refugees accepted for resettlement in the current group are from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and stateless Rohingyans from Myanmar and Bangladesh.

[….]

On Manus, Sudanese refugee Abdul Aziz Muhamat said those accepted for resettlement had been told they will leave for the United States on 12 January.

[….]

Department sources say there is increasing confidence the US will accept close to the 1,250 refugees it has previously publicly suggested could be settled, and that that figure could be reached by the end of its current annual intake, which resets in October.

More here to make you sick!

This is worse than a dumb deal, it is stunningly stupid and dangerous!  And, all to get a political monkey off Australian Prime Minister Turnbull’s back!

I’m sure you’ve done it before, but continue writing to the White House (getting a different form)  and tell your elected officials in Washington what you think.

Congress could move to stop this process, but they won’t. (They know that these ‘New Americans’ will not be placed near their homes!)

At minimum, however, Congress could require notification to your local police of the impending arrival of these ‘refugees’ Australia doesn’t want on its mainland.
