US refugee contractor Miliband says EU countries must step up and take more refugees

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 4, 2018

Before I tell you about ‘Moneybags’ Miliband’s proposal for his home country, the UK, and for the whole of Europe, this article gives me an opportunity to clarify something the No Borders gang doesn’t want you to understand.

If you are saying Europe is already taking in hundreds of thousands of “refugees,” how can they take more?  Know that the over a million migrants, which have descended on Europe in recent years, are not “refugees” until they have had their asylum claims adjudicated and have been determined to be truly persecuted people in need of refugee protection.  The vast majority are illegal aliens/economic migrants!

The next time someone on the Left (or a politician) says we must do our share because Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon are doing so much more, remember this: the migrants in those countries are temporary. They will not become voting citizens as our admitted refugees will be!

miliband and soros 2 (2) close

David Miliband and George Soros

The people Miliband is talking about are “refugees” mostly identified and registered with the United Nations and who will become permanent residents when they are admitted. Many live in UN camps in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.   It is (mostly) from that pool that the US has taken its 10,000+ over the last 6 months (see yesterday’s post).

For decades, without a doubt the US has taken the lion’s share of the refugees the UN has identified and wants to distribute to the West.

Doing well by doing good!

David Miliband heads the financially largest of the nine US resettlement contractors*** the International Rescue Committee.  He is a former UK Labor Party Foreign Minister and a pal of—-drum roll—-George Soros.  I call him “Moneybags” because he pulls down an annual salary of $671,749 (largely funded by US taxpayer dollars). See post on the IRC’s Form 990, here.

Here is The Guardian story with this headline:

David Miliband calls for leadership on refugee resettlement in the EU

It could be sub-titled:  Miliband takes a whack at Trump!

David Miliband has called on the European Union to bring half a million refugees to Europe over the next five years, which would mean providing homes for almost 10% of the world’s most vulnerable refugees each year.

Under the targets proposed by the International Rescue Committee (IRC), of which Miliband is chairman, the EU would commit to increasing targets of European resettlement schemes to take in 108,000 refugees every year for five years from refugee camps and communities in countries such as Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon.

[….]

In 2017, 65,000 refugees were resettled worldwide, a third of the number resettled the previous year (189,300). The EU provided resettlement places for 23,000 refugees – or 1.9% of those eligible for resettlement. Under the target being called for by the IRC, the EU would resettle 9% of eligible refugees.

Let’s stop for a minute and look at the numbers. I used the calendar year data at Wrapsnet and see that in 2017, the US resettled just over half (51%) of the refugees resettled by the whole Western world—33,368 (of the 65,000).  Pew Research tells us that in 2016 the US share was also 51%, but get this….from Pew:

In 2016, for example, out of approximately 1 million eligible refugees identified by UNHCR, an estimated 189,000 were resettled worldwide, with more than half (51%) of these ending up in the United States. Between 1982 and 2016, the U.S. admitted more than two-thirds (69%) of the world’s resettled refugees, followed by Canada (14%) and Australia (11%).

So for nearly a quarter of a century the US was, by far, the most ‘welcoming’ country in the world!  Yeh! Miliband is right—other countries need to pick up the slack now.  Time for the US to take a breather!

The Guardian continues….

Miliband said Europe had been “playing catch up” with the refugee crisis as it dealt with large numbers of people [illegal aliens!—ed] arriving and claiming asylum over the past few years, but now had an opportunity to “become a proactive player” on this issue.

“Europe needs to recognise that this refugee crisis around the world is not going away and Europe needs to have a proactive policy which includes the option of refugee resettlement for a portion of the most vulnerable who are identified as qualifying for refugee resettlement,” he said.

Miliband: Europe must lead because Trump isn’t!

Miliband said the need for Europe to provide world leadership had increased after the Trump administration announced last year it would slash the US resettlement target from 110,000 places in 2017 to a maximum of 45,000 places in 2018. The US has traditionally taken the most refugees through resettlement programmes of any country.

Calling Hungarian PM Victor Orban! Pay attention to Soros and Miliband!

However, the calls are likely to face opposition from some member states, which have refused to share the responsibility of refugee hosting across the EU. Last year, the European commission began a legal case against the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland for refusing to participate in a programme that relocated refugees that had arrived in Greece and Italy.

Under the IRC’s proposal, all EU member states would be required to set a target for refugee resettlement, proportionate to GDP and population. Most countries would have to dramatically expand their resettlement programmes to meet this target.

British national and one-worlder, IRC CEO David Miliband, pulls down an annual salary package of $671,749 (doing well by doing good!). Humanitarian work pays well, if you can get it!

If so, you can catch “Moneybags” live at the Greenwich Library later this month:

Talk on refugee crisis

David Miliband, president and CEO of the International Rescue Committee, will be interviewed by Lori Esposito Murray from the Council on Foreign Relations in a talk titled “Refugees and the Political Crisis of Our Time.” This conversation will take place in the Greenwich Library Cole Auditorium at 7 p.m. April 19. Miliband was a member of the British Parliament before taking charge of the IRC, which conducts humanitarian relief operations in more than 40 war-affected countries and refugee resettlement and assistance programs in 28 U.S. cities. Murray is an adjunct senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut, and president emeritus of the World Affairs Councils of America. Cut to the chase—refugee labor is cheap labor

Posted by Ann Corcoran on March 10, 2018

For goodness sake, let’s have the debate.

Do we need more low wage labor?

That should be the debate.  Anything else is just mud being thrown around to confuse the taxpaying public and make people feel guilty about questioning our LEGAL immigration programs.

For instance, this story at something called ‘Workforce’ posits that refugees’ greatest contributions are that their hiring brings much-needed diversity to the work place—WTH!

Diversity! Like the diversity Muslim refugees bring when they file lawsuits against meatpackers for special prayer privileges in slaughter plants?

And, just forget the notion that the US Refugee Admissions Program is a solely humanitarian effort on the part of the US—it is about the movement of labor around the world (and about Democrat voters), but not first about welcoming the stranger!

Let me repeat! If America needs cheap (compliant immigrant) labor, have that debate and leave the diversity/humanitarian mumbo-jumbo out of it!

Here is Workforce:

As immigration issues swirl around businesses seeking to hire foreign talent, a new guide published by the Tent Foundation is still touting the benefits of hiring refugees.

Ulukaya and Soros

Hamdi Ulukaya the CEO of Chobani Yogurt, here with George Soros discussing refugees, founded the Tent Foundation.

The “U.S. Employers’ Guide to Hiring Refugees” highlights the positive aspects businesses reap when hiring refugees. Diversity tops the list of what refugees bring to the workplace, according to Gideon Maltz, executive director of Tent Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works with businesses to help them integrate refugee workers into their workplace. Whether it’s experience or language, refugees can provide new insights from their respective countries.

The guide is here, written by the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service!

“A more diverse workforce fosters new ideas and innovations, which is necessary in our more competitive, global market,” Maltz said.

Finding those refugee workers poses a challenge, based on recent statistics.

[….]

Based on the Tent Foundation guide, a refugee is “an individual who is unable to return to his or her home country due to a well-founded fear of persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion or social group.”

Employers have options beyond refugees if they want to diversify their workforce with foreign workers. Immigrants on an H-1B visa, which allows U.S. companies to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations, also bring with them their foreign experiences and knowledge.  [I’ve skipped most of the discussion about other legal immigration programs to bring in foreign workers. The reporter seems to be mixing them up with the refugee program anyway. Most refugees don’t come in with special skills.—ed]

[….]

Burke [Richard Burke, CEO of Envoy Global, an enterprise platform that works with companies to make the hiring and managing process of a global workforce easier]  reasoned that businesses could be putting more of an effort into introducing more immigrants because they see the benefit diversity brings to a company’s culture.

“To address the supply and demand imbalance employers are saying, ‘We have opportunities, we want to grow, we want to contribute to the economy,’ ” said Burke.

“But to do that we need the talent and the workers to do it. And the only way to do it is through foreign national talent.”

[….]

Envoy Global’s “2018 Immigration Trends Report” looks at opinions of employers on immigration and their hiring process. Based on the report, businesses that would like to implement this strategy are finding it difficult to do so in the face of the tougher immigration standards.

“Eighty-five percent of respondents say the U.S immigration program policies have impacted their ability to hire,” said Burke.

Contact the refugee contractors!

hartke with logo

It was the recently ousted Lutheran CEO Hartke who signed the deal with the Tent Foundation to write their hiring guide.

We already know from past reporting that some of the usual gang of nine refugee contractors***are working with global meat companies to help them find and retain cheap (compliant because they can’t go home!) refugee labor.

Workforce continues….

For potential employers that want to hire refugees, Maltz advises them to reach out to their local resettlement agency since those organizations can help with logistical details. Managers should also prepare to spend extra money on English as second language courses and other programs to help new workers acclimate to their new home.

“[It] may require some upfront investments but these are small in relation to the benefits refugees will bring to your company,” Maltz said.

Yup! They mention the “higher retention rates” of refugee laborers. Of course, because again, they can’t go home and are dependent on their handlers at the refugee contracting agencies for their other needs.

See more on the Tent Foundation, here.  And, I wrote about it here (working with Lutheran head hunters at LIRS)!

So cut the crap, stop throwing the mud around, and have the debate about US labor shortages (does it exist and what is the best way to deal with it, if it is even true)!

***Here are the nine federal refugee contractors. They have been complaining as their regular paying client numbers (refugees) have declined during the Trump Administration.  They pretend their sole mission is humanitarian, but they work closely and receive funding from big global corporations in addition to their generous contributions from you—the taxpayer!

The original Refugee Act of 1980, that set up this monstrosity, envisioned a public-private partnership that over the years has almost completely morphed in to a federal program. Congress must reform the program and get these supposedly non-profit middlemen out of the process.

The number in parenthesis is the percentage of their income paid by you (the taxpayer) to place the refugees, line them up with jobs, and get them signed up for their services (aka welfare)!  From most recent accounting, here.

Hungarian Prime Minister calls for global alliance against migration

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 20, 2018

The Soros Troika! I didn’t plan it this way, but realize that this post and my two previous posts this morning (here and here) all have a connection to the master borderless-world manipulator, George Soros.

Invasion of Europe news….

Here is Reuters on Hungarian PM Vikto Orban’s  impassioned speech over the weekend:

Orban and Soros

The titans…..

BUDAPEST (Reuters) – Hungarian leader Viktor Orban called on Sunday for a global alliance against migration as his right-wing populist Fidesz party began campaigning for an April 8 election in which it is expected to win a third consecutive landslide victory.

Popular at home but increasingly at odds politically and economically with mainstream European Union peers, Orban has thrived on external controversy, including repeated clashes with Brussels and lately the United Nations.

Those conflicts, mostly centered on migration since people fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East and Africa flooded into Europe in 2015***, have intensified as the elections approach and Orban poses as a savior of Europe’s Christian nations.

“Christianity is Europe’s last hope,” Orban told an audience of party faithful at the foot of the Royal Castle in Budapest. With mass immigration, especially from Africa, “our worst nightmares can come true. The West falls as it fails to see Europe being overrun.”

Reuters reports on how Orban has turned around a sagging economy….

But migration dominates his agenda now.

Orban said on Sunday that Europe faces a critical fissure between nation states of the East and the West, which he called an “immigrant zone, a mixed population world that heads in a direction different from ours”.

As the West wants eastern Europe to follow its lead, an increasingly vicious struggle was likely, he said, alluding to a plan to redraw the European alliance advocated by the leaders of France and Germany.

“Absurd as it may sound the danger we face comes from the West, from politicians in Brussels, Berlin and Paris,” Orban said to loud applause. “Of course we will fight, and use ever stronger legal tools. The first is our ‘Stop Soros’ law.”

We told you here a few days ago about efforts to stop Soros from pushing Muslim migration on Hungary (and Europe generally), continue here for more at this Reuters story.

***Unintended consequences! Remember Samantha Power said that the Syrian invasion (she didn’t use the word invasion) resulted in a monumental shift in world history.  She was right even if it wasn’t in the direction she was hoping for.  Power too was under Soros wing.

Additionally she played a huge role in the Libyan debacle and thus created the launch pad for the African invasion of Europe.

US State Department not yet concerned about sexual harassment allegations involving refugee agency it funds

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 20, 2018

That is what Breitbart’s Michael Patrick Leahy is reporting about his efforts to get an answer from the major funding source for the nine federal contractors*** hired by State for the US Refugee Admissions Program.  Leahy’s story is entitled:

U.S. Government Continues to Fund Refugee Resettlement NGO Whose Funding Has Been Frozen by the U.K.

(We reported on the mess the International Refugee Committee is in with its British funding, here.)

miliband and soros 2 (2) close

Miliband and Soros in 2013. “The IRC is one of the charities closely-linked to George Soros’s push to drive aliens into European Union (EU) nations.” http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/02/16/soros-backed-migrant-importation-ngo/

Here is some of what Leahy is reporting after attempting to get something definitive from the State Department:

The government of the United Kingdom has frozen all payments to the International Rescue Committee (IRC), one of the largest non-profit refugee resettlement agencies in the world, pending the outcome of an investigation into allegations of “sexual harassment and fraud” in the organization.

As one of the nine voluntary agencies (VOLAGs) that have for decades received about $1 billion annually from the U.S. federal government, the IRC is also heavily funded by American taxpayers.

The IRC is the third VOLAG in the last six months to come under scrutiny for questions surrounding its leadership and management.

[….]

The management and leadership of former U.K. Foreign Secretary David Miliband, who has served as CEO of the IRC since 2013 and receives an annual salary of $671,000, is now under serious question, and his ability to maintain his current job is uncertain.

The State Department offered no indication that it intends to stop funding the IRC, despite the actions of the U.K government when asked specifically by Breitbart News if the U.S. government currently has plans to immediately stop making payments to the IRC to conduct refugee resettlement operations in the United States.

“The Department of State takes very seriously the prevention and response of all accusations of sexual exploitation and abuse,” a State Department spokesperson told Breitbart News when asked if the U.S. government intends to follow the lead of the U.K. government in suspending payments to the IRC pending the results of an investigation.

[….]

The State Department has not responded to this follow up question from Breitbart News: Now that the allegations of abuse against the IRC have been brought to the State Department’s attention, what specifically is the State Department doing to ensure the IRC is taking the necessary steps to address the issue appropriately?

Quick, someone tell the IRC’s new partner—Sesame Street!

See my David Miliband archive by clicking here.

If the IRC does have any government funds frozen, even temporarily, it will be a blow to their subcontractors (working in cities below) that are wholly dependent on the IRC mothership in Manhattan. (IRC website):

Hungary First: Orban government proposes anti-Soros legislation

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 16, 2018

Hungarian government poster portraying financier George Soros in Budapest

Posters say: “Don’t let George Soros have the last laugh”

Invasion of Europe news…..

This is a Reuters story from two days ago (just getting to it). Emphasis below is mine:

BUDAPEST (Reuters) – Hungary’s nationalist government introduced legislation that would empower the interior minister to ban non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that support migration and pose a “national security risk”.

The bill, submitted to parliament late on Tuesday, is a key part of Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s anti-immigration campaign targeting U.S. financier George Soros whose philanthropy aims to bolster liberal and open-border values in eastern Europe.

The government says the bill, which would also impose a 25 percent tax on foreign donations to NGOs that back migration in Hungary, is meant to deter illegal immigration Orban says is eroding European stability and has been stoked in part by Soros.

Orban and Soros

Orban vs. Soros

Hungary and Poland are both under nationalist governments that have clashed with the European Union leadership in Brussels over their perceived authoritarian drift deviating from EU standards on democracy and rule of law.

But Orban’s message, championing conservative Christian beliefs and rejecting multiculturalism, has gone down well with Hungarian voters and his Fidesz party is expected to secure a third straight term in a general election due on April 8.

The bill says that NGOs that “sponsor, organize or support the entry or stay of third-country citizens on Hungarian territory via a safe third country to extend international protection … qualify as organizations supporting migration”.

Such activity – including campaigning, advocacy, recruiting volunteers, producing information booklets – would have to be approved by the interior minister, who could deny permission if he saw a “national security risk”.

There is much more here.

What I want to know is: Will President Trump invite Orban to the White House so we can watch Leftists’ heads explode?

Go here for my complete ‘Invasion of Europe’ archive.

Don’t miss my post on the IRC just yesterday where we reminded you that Soros is pals with David Miliband!

Messy business as Miliband and refugee agency embroiled in fraud and sexual harassment charges involving DR Congo

Posted by Ann Corcoran on February 15, 2018

Two days ago I wondered why the International Rescue Committee*** statement on Trump’s budget cuts did not feature newshound David Miliband (IRC CEO) making the comments against the President.

Look at this!

Headline from the UK Daily Mail yesterday. I guess he had bigger problems bubbling up than Trump’s budget this week:

Charity fronted by former Labour foreign secretary David Miliband ‘hushed up 37 allegations of fraud, sex abuse and bribery’

Government ministers froze funding to a charity led by David Miliband after it silenced 37 sex abuse, fraud and bribery allegations, it has been claimed.

The International Rescue Committee, which is headed by the former Labour foreign secretary, was given millions in taxpayers’ cash before the allegations were made.

hillary-and-miliband (1)

He said he loves Hillary’s smile. She called him cute.  https://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com/2016/03/31/david-miliband-loves-hillarys-smile/

A team from the IRC was sent to probe claims of wrongdoing in the Democratic Republic of Congo. [Readers should know that refugees from the DR Congo are among the top numbers arriving in the US right now.—-ed]

This is the first time I learned that the IRC, besides getting nearly a half a billion US dollars in less than five years from US taxpayers, is also feeding off UK taxpayers.

Yet a leaked report from the Department of International Development (Dfid) shows the funding to the charity was cut after ‘direct reporting of sexual harassment and fraud’.

A Dfid spokesman told The Sun: ‘DFID became aware of serious allegations relating to this programme in August 2016.

‘The Department acted swiftly to ensure the reported misconduct was fully and comprehensively addressed by the IRC and relevant authorities.’

Mr Miliband left politics and joined the IRC in 2013 shortly after losing the Labour leadership election to his brother Ed [Ed’s nickname is ‘Red Ed’—ed]. He remains in the post today.

miliband and soros 2

Here Miliband is awarding George Soros the IRC’s highest honor—Freedom Award—in 2013.  Soros’ son Jonathan is on the left.

He is mentioned by name in the report, although there is no suggestion he is involved in any alleged wrongdoing.

More here.

Doing well by doing good!

The Daily Mail mentions Miliband’s huge salary (in the last reported tax year it was $671,749)!

Any real investigative reporters out there?

We have a very large archive on the life and times of Moneybags Miliband as head of the IRC in Manhattan, click here.

Do not miss this post: Miliband: We must embrace political Islamism.

And here he was the first contractor in 2015 to call for the US to resettle 65,000 Syrians (vast majority are Muslims).

The ol’ gang is breaking up, is Miliband next to depart?

***The International Rescue Committee is the largest (financially) of the nine contractors that resettle refugees in the US.

Recently, we reported that two of the nine have lost their CEO’s under questionable circumstances, see USCRI (Lavinia Limon) here and then just yesterday we learned that Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service CEO Linda Hartke is out.

Hungary’s Orban has the international Left in panic mode

Posted by Ann Corcoran on January 12, 2018

Invasion of Europe News….

And, you can tell by this article at HuffPo that paints him as an “authoritarian” that they are very very afraid of him and his growing “nationalist” power in Eastern Europe. They also see him exporting his views (about especially Muslim migration) to other European countries like Italy, Austria and (gasp!) even Germany.

orban and family

Orban and family (protecting their futures!)

One of Hungarian Prime Minister Orban’s greatest strengths is his willingness to speak (as Trump did yesterday) straightforwardly. Muslim refugees are invaders.

I’m still waiting for President Trump to invite Orban to the White House. If he wants to push the Left (and CNN) over the cliff (into a mental breakdown) now, that would do it.

Here is the Huffington Post on Orban (the truth-teller):

In a January 8th interview with Germany’s Bild newspaper, Hungary’s prime minister Viktor Orban, said “we don’t see these people as Muslim refugees. We see them as invaders.” Multi-culturalism, he said, is an illusion. Muslim culture, he continued, is so different from Europe’s that parallel societies are being created.

Orban’s anti-migrant campaign is resonating beyond central Europe into Austria, Italy and even Germany. Earlier this month he was welcomed at a conference of Bavaria’s Christian Socialists, whose leader Horst Seehofer is critical of chancellor Angela Merkel’s immigration policies. In 2015 over 1 million mostly Muslim refugees were resettled in Germany. About 150,000 of those refugees transited Hungary. Few wanted to stay in Hungary.

Orban has made common cause with neighboring Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic where public opinion opposes refugee resettlement. Hungary and Poland are being targeted by the European Union Commission for refusing a quota of 10,000 refugees under a burden sharing measure agreed to three years ago. The case is before the European Court of Justice. Since the 2015 migration crisis Poland has accepted no refugees while Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria have each taken fewer than twenty.

The Fidesz Party that Orban founded holds a two-thirds majority in parliament and is favored to win new elections set for April 8th. Orban has ruled Hungary with an increasingly authoritarian hand since 2010.

HuffPo writer Barry Wood throws everything at Orban he can think of that would paint the man as a monster (eg. “flame-thrower” with close ties to Russia), and then goes on to say this below, as if we would all be shocked, that Orban doesn’t like that nice old man—George Soros (I bet HuffPo gets a bit of moola from Budapest-born, György Schwartz).

Soros poster Hungary

On the streets of Budapest:  “Letʼs not let Soros have the last laugh!

Wood continues:

During a visit to Budapest in November I was startled to see posters bearing the image of billionaire Hungarian-born investor and philanthropist George Soros all over the city. Paid for by Fidesz, these ubiquitous posters tell Hungarians not to let Soros have the last laugh. Soros is the favorite target of Orban, representing everything he opposes—multiculturalism, diversity, globalization, and tolerance. Soros is accused of wanting to Muslimize Europe. Some Jewish groups see the campaign as anti-Semitic, others do not.

More here.

Come on Donald! Give us some more fun! Welcome Viktor Orban to the White House and give him a lavish State Dinner!  (Stick it to Soros too! You know he hates you!)

Looking for something to do? Write to the White House and tell the Prez you want to see Orban invited to the White House (and have him bring his lovely family)!

EU suing countries that refuse migrants

Posted by Ann Corcoran on December 9, 2017

Pressure from Brussels is being ratcheted up against the so called Visegrad three (there were four!) to take thousands of those illegal migrants that have ‘made their way’ across the Mediterranean or came in via Turkey to Greece and are now piled up in Italy or Greece.

I’m calling them migrants because in most cases their status as legitimate refugees has not been determined.  Asylum seekers who can prove they would be persecuted if returned to their own countries become legitimate refugees only after having had their asylum claims processed and approved.

Orban and Soros

Hungarian Prime Minister Orban says George Soros is working to push migrants throughout Europe. As I have said repeatedly, Donald Trump should invite Orban to a state dinner and send a powerful message!  https://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com/2017/10/30/hungary-investigating-soros-network-we-should-be-as-well/

We learned this week that Germany was preparing to begin returning to Syria those migrants who failed their asylum requests.  See here.

Here is news from News Europe:

The European Commission is suing Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary for failing to fulfill their obligations in the context of the European refugee relocation programme.

The Visegrad four had all objected, with Slovakia joining Hungary in suing the European Commission for interfering with their sovereignty. Slovakia stepped down from its confrontation with Brussels, but Prague, Warsaw, and Budapest continue to express objections to the programme. Turning the tables, the European Commission is now taking the three countries to the European Court of Justice (ECJ).

The refugee relocation plan was adopted in 2015 and envisaged the relocation of 160,000 refugees from Greece and Italy to the rest of the EU. The resettlement scheme took into account unemployment, GDP, and population. The quota for the Visegrad countries was 8,000 refugees.

The Law and Justice (PiS) government insists Poland will not accept migrants from Africa and the Middle East citing security concerns.

I wonder if these countries are thinking about getting out of the EU as the UK is now (slowly) doing.  Each could trade directly with the UK and the US.  But, they would need to build up their armies, shore up their borders as the Muslim population grows in Germany, France, Belgium, etc. in the coming decades.

Hungary investigating Soros network, we should be as well

Posted by Ann Corcoran on October 30, 2017

trump and soros

Soros vs. Trump

Where are you Donald?

You too should be directing investigations of your number one arch-enemy, George Soros, and his network in America.

Maybe invite Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban to the White House to ask what he is finding out and give him a lavish state dinner while he is here (and don’t invite Jared)!

From the Irish Times:

Civil society groups funded by billionaire George Soros denounced Hungary’s prime minister Viktor Orban on Sunday, for calling on his country’s security services to investigate the liberal philanthropist’s “network” and people associated with it.

Mr Orban accuses Budapest-born Mr Soros of buying influence in the European Union and pressing it to admit millions of mostly Muslim immigrants, whom the Hungarian leader describes as a deadly danger to the bloc’s security and identity.

orban and family

Viktor Orban has a family! See Mark Steyn below!

“The Soros network has an extensive sphere of influence within the European Parliament and other EU bodies, and its aim is to build a Europe of mixed population and to condemn the Hungarian government for opposing their view on migration,” Mr Orban said on Friday.

Hungary’s security services would help reveal how Soros-funded groups operated and who was working with them, including Hungarian citizens, he added.

Despite taking a scholarship from Mr Soros to study in England in 1989, Mr Orban now vows to create an “illiberal democracy” that staunchly opposes immigration, a model that is anathema to the billionaire’s vision of an open society. [Don’t you just love it how they throw that little nugget in there. In 1989! who knew what Soros was up to.—ed]

Mr Orban built fences on Hungary’s southern borders to block refugees and migrants in 2015, and fiercely rejects EU efforts to relocate refugees around the bloc and criticism of his alleged erosion of Hungarian democracy and rule of law.

There is more here including a closing paragraph about how Orban’s political party is doing extremely well.

Mark Steyn has a point!

When I went searching for a photo of the Prime Minister, I found this one (above) at wikipedia and it reminded me of Mark Steyn’s article (and my post) after the election of the childless new President of France:

Kicking the croissant down the road….it is demographic conquest stupid!

Steyn lists some of the childless European leaders and suggests they, with no personal stake in the future, don’t look at the world the way those with children and grandchildren do.

…with the arrival of President Macron in the charmed circle, the leaders of Europe’s biggest economies and of all the European members of the G7 are childless: Germany’s Angela Merkel, Britain’s Theresa May, Italy’s Paolo Gentiloni, and now France’s Macron.

Other childless leaders are listed here at LifeSite.

Great question of our time: How is it that so few European (or American) leaders can recognize an invasion when it is staring them in the face?

Former Obama State Department official tells Idaho audience to use political pressure if they want more refugees

Posted by Ann Corcoran on October 27, 2017

I told you about this upcoming conference here.

Just noticed now that the event was held at the SIMPLOT auditorium.  Thought I recognized that name—-first saw it here when we heard that the JR Simplot Company was building a new meatpacking plant near Boise.  Of course! Cheap refugee labor! So much for humanitarianism!

Here is the news from Boise Weekly about the event this past Monday (emphasis is mine):

Anne Richard: Get involved to help us diversify Idaho.  George (Soros) wants it that way!

President Donald Trump’s name doesn’t appear on the agenda for the 34th annual Frank Church Conference, titled “America’s Future: Refugees, Migration and National Security,” but discussion of Trump’s restrictions on refugees and immigrants took center stage Monday at the filled-to-capacity Simplot Ballroom at the Boise State University Student Union.

[….]

The Frank Church conference was packed with panel discussions and addresses from a number of experts on the issue of refugees, both national and local, including representation from the Idaho office of Refugees, the Idaho chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and the Boise office of the International Rescue Committee. The conference’s midday address was delivered by Anne C. Richard, former Assistant Secretary of State.

[….]

In her conclusion, Richard offered a question instead of a statement.

“What are you going to do about this?” Richard asked the gathering. “Will you vote? Will you write a letter to the editor? Will you visit your member of Congress? Will you stay abreast of current events? I put it to you.”

I’ll repeat for the umpteenth time—you have to match them with political action if you want the truth to come out.  That is, if you want to preserve western civilization (in addition to your home town!).

When I look at the Boise Weekly story I’m seeing only one comment at this time. Where are you Idahoans?

Soros groupie!

About Anne Richard, former Obama Asst. Secretary of State and former Veep at one of the nine federal contractors—the International Rescue Committee:

Richard, like so many in the refugee industry has revolved in and out of government for decades.  She says on her biography at wikipedia that in 1994 she helped create the International Crisis Group.  Sometime when you have a few minutes it might be worth your time to understand what that group was (and is).

Here is just a bit of their history:

Discussions continue throughout 1994 as to what form this new organisation should take. There are heated debates about whether the organisation should be an operational outfit directly involved in delivering aid, or an advocate for action by others.

On 17 November, Abromowitz’s Carnegie Endowment publicly announces “a concerted effort to consider the launching of a new International Crisis Group” with three main functions: assessment, advice and advocacy. George Soros’s Open Society Institute provides US$200,000 to finance continued planning activities. Over the latter half of the year, former US Congressman Stephen Solarz travels to over twenty countries to discuss the proposed organisation and raise funds. Not everyone welcomes him, One senior European government minister complains, “What you are trying to do is to get us to give you a golden stick with which to beat us over the head, in order to get us to do what we’ve already decided we do not want to”.

Continue reading here to see who else was involved and note Soros’s continued funding role.

Where are you Rep. Labrador?  Are you looking for more refugee labor for the state too?

Idaho folks need to look very carefully at who is funding political campaigns in the state especially as the 2018 governor’s race rolls around. That race is a perfect opportunity to focus attention on the issue of refugee resettlement in the state. Make it a pivotal issue in the campaign.
