The Arizona Daily Starhas posted a very detailed report on what happened in court in Tucson with the government’s case against a husband and wife team who allegedly had some relationship with Islamic terror group al-Shabab in Africa. See my previous post here.
Fraud, fraud and more fraud!
So much for Obama’s extreme vetting…..
I’ve snipped just a bit of the story below, but please read the whole thing. A few of the many things that interested me were:
~The pair (28 and 25 years old) it now seems have used various names and have FIVE children with one still in Africa. Is it a young boy they left for the terrorists to raise?
~They came to the US via China and they supposedly got to Beijing, China on $500 (5,725 mile 14 hour flight on $500?). And, why were we picking up random Somalis in Beijing?
~He (whatever his name is) lost his hands in a blast in a market, he says. Was he delivering a bomb that exploded prematurely? Or, perhaps making the bomb?
~The couple was getting ready to move to Minneapolis. What! to hide in the huge Somali community there?
I’m sure you will have even more questions when you read the whole story:
This is a must-read story and a keeper. Pass it out to friends and family and the next time you attend a public meeting, where refugee advocates will tell you that refugees aren’t terrorists and criminals, have your proof handy.
Hohmann has compiled an eye-popping list of Somali criminals that surely is the tip of the iceberg because we only learn about new cases when some local media outlet has the guts to report on the nationality of an arrested perp, and if the story breaks out of the local community.
Readers need to know that most Somalis in the US are here through the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program or through the chain migration it has spawned.
So, although it is a good step that the Prez has increased Homeland Security’s vetting process (here), that won’t solve the problem of the children we raised with our tax dollars becoming criminals and Jihadists.
LeoHohmann.com begins with the recent case of the Mall of America stabber who admitted he was attempting to kill for Allah.
Of all the countries on President Trump’s list of 11 banned from sending refugees, Somalia has by far the worst track record of assimilation.
That ban expired last week and the U.S. will start accepting refugees again from the 11 high-risk nations, although Trump promises a more “extreme” vetting.
Vetting, however, offers few guarantees that the refugees will become good Americans. Many of the Somalis who have run afoul of the law came here as child refugees, making them impossible to vet.
Recently we learned the Somali refugee who knifed two brothers at the Mall of America was not responding to a confrontation over an attempt to steal clothing – a false narrative put out by Bloomington police last November – but actually carried out an unprovoked act of jihad.
How do we know this? He admitted it in late January with a public statement to the court.
In the prepared statement, Mahad Abdiraham said he went to the Mall of America on Nov. 12 to “answer the call for jihad by the Chief of Believer, Abu-bakr Al-Baghdadi, may Allah protect him, and by the Mujahiden of the Islamic State.”
That is all I am snipping! You must click here and see the other astounding cases.
Many of the cases are from Minnesota, so if you are on twitter and want to have some fun, use the hashtag #LittleMogadishu .
If you are looking for something to do on a snow day, have a look at my category labelled ‘crimes’with over 2,000 posts on the subject of immigrant crime in the US and around the world.
Reminder: Over the next few days I will be traveling, so don’t look for new posts here at RRW (after today) until early next week. I probably won’t be able to post comments either.
City leaders across Minnesota are passing “welcoming” resolutions in an effort to send a message that their communities are inclusive amid growing national tension around the issue of immigration.
City councils in Willmar and St. Joseph, two central Minnesota cities that are becoming increasingly diverse, are expected to discuss resolutions Monday. The measures don’t change policy but are considered symbolic.
“This resolution will just tell everybody ‘We want you in Willmar,’ ” Mayor Marv Calvin said, adding he expects the resolution will pass.
It isn’t America First! or Minnesota First! It is M-O-N-E-Y First!
“Willmar’s strength is in its diversity,” Calvin said. “If people feel they’re not welcome to a community, that’s detrimental to economic development.”
Willmar, a city of nearly 20,000 residents two hours west of Minneapolis, has long had a large Latino population. In recent years, it has also seen a growing number of immigrants from East African nations. Calvin said the newcomers have helped the city flourish with new businesses.
But the resolution isn’t meant just for immigrants and first-generation Americans. It also is designed to send a message to people who were born in Willmar or used to live there that they should return, he said.
In St. Joseph, residents formed a group called Cultural Bridges more than a year ago to build connections, especially between Christians and Muslims and the town’s Somali refugees and longtime residents after a Somali man stabbed*** 10 people at the Crossroads Center mall in nearby St. Cloud in 2016.
Since then, the group has taught adult basic education classes, provided homework tutoring and launched a jobs search program for Somali immigrants.
The group will ask the City Council on Monday to consider a welcoming resolution. It also plans to post fliers affirming inclusivity after white nationalist posters were plastered across the city illegally. [See posters here.—ed]
“The City Council has a great opportunity. … This is not something that should be met with silence,” said Raj Chaphalkar, a member of the group. “It may seem obvious, but sometimes we need leaders to say [these words] out loud. This is a good place to be for everybody.”
We have a massive archive on Minnesota where resettlement of Somalis began in earnest about 30 years ago thanks to resettlement contractors: Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services and World Relief. I’ve been there twice now myself.
***They like knives. Just ask the young white woman attacked and stabbed by a man described as Somali (still on the loose?) recently. Her story was in my top three stories of last month, see here.
He is a 20-year-old born in Australia to Somali immigrant parents which brings us to the questions everyone is avoiding: So how do you screen for Islamists like this? How do you stop terrorists radicalized in the West after we ‘welcomed’ them and gave them an opportunity for a good life?
Notice that Hungary, Poland and Japan don’t have arrests like this—why? They don’t admit Muslim immigrants.
One of many stories on the arrest, this one from News 24:
Melbourne – An Islamic State (ISIS) sympathiser planned to buy a gun and kill as many revellers as possible on New Year’s Eve in Melbourne’s popular Federation Square, police alleged on Tuesday after foiling the plot.
The 20-year-old, born in Australia to Somali parents, was detained in a raid on a house in the Melbourne suburb of Werribee on Monday. He is expected to be charged over the coming days.
Police claim he accessed a guide book online produced by Al-Qaeda on how to commit terror acts and use firearms, but was arrested before he could purchase an automatic rifle.
“What we will be alleging is that he was intending to use a firearm to shoot and kill as many people as he could in the Federation Square area on New Year’s Eve,” said Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Shane Patton.
Patton said the man, who lived with his parents, had been on their radar since the beginning of the year, part of a small community of extremists that police have been monitoring.
His behaviour had gradually escalated over time, but police believe he was acting alone.
We hear this all the time!
A person who knows the suspect told the Melbourne Herald Sun: “He is a very quiet guy. This is an absolute shock.”
I’ve reported previously that there are breakthroughs coming in the media—CNN actually used the word REFUGEE in a crawler this morning regarding this case. I know you are probably thinking, so what is the big deal? Ten years ago the word would be Somali “man” or Somali “immigrant” as the R-word was rarely, if ever, mentioned.
Police and politicians urged Canadians to be vigilant, but called for calm and unity in the wake of a terrorist attack in Edmonton that injured five and led to the arrest of a 30-year-old suspect who had previously been investigated for espousing extremist views.
It is the second major terrorist attack in Canada this year, following January’s shooting at a mosque in Quebec City that killed six and injured 19.
CBC News identified the Edmonton suspect on Sunday as Abdulahi Hasan Sharif. Police and federal officials would only confirm that the man in custody is a 30-year-old refugee from Somaliaand had been interviewed by the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team in 2015. But RCMP Assistant Commissioner Marlin Degrand said there had been insufficient evidence to charge him or issue a peace bond at the time and he was not considered a national security threat.
“We cannot — and will not — let violent extremism take root in our communities. We know that Canada’s strength comes from our diversity, and we will not be cowed by those who seek to divide us or promote fear,” he said.
See my complete Canada category byclicking here. If you don’t know, Canada has a huge Somali population.
This happened on Sunday and the story seems to just now (late Monday and this morning) be coming to the world’s attention (perhaps the more deadly London Islamic terror attack, also carried out by refugees, simply dwarfed it in the media).
A Somali refugee killed one man and took a woman hostage in Melbourne. He was shot dead by police
MELBOURNE, Australia — The Australian authorities are treating an abduction and a killing here in Melbourne on Monday, which ended with the gunman dead, as a terrorist attack.
The police killed the gunman after he held a woman hostage at an apartment complex in Brighton, one of Melbourne’s wealthiest suburbs. The woman was rescued, and another man was found dead in the lobby, the police said. The authorities did not immediately identify the victims.
The police identified the gunman as Yacqub Khayre, an Australian citizen with a long criminal record who came to the country from Somalia as a child refugee.Graham Ashton, the chief police commissioner for Victoria State, said Mr. Khayre was known to the police “for a whole range of offending,” including drug and violent crimes and arson.
The laugh line in the story is at the end of this paragraph:
Mr. Khayre served a significant amount of prison time and was on parole at the time of the attack, the commissioner said. The gunman was acquitted in an investigation of a terrorism plot in New South Wales several years ago, but since then, he was involved in routine criminal activity, Mr. Ashton said. “There wasn’t anything suggesting he was about to do this.”
The Somali refugee had been acquitted on plotting an earlier terror attack, had a long rap sheet and had traveled to Somalia yet his action is a big surprise to the police!
Here is a more dramatic telling of what happened, with much more information about the refugee who thumbed his nose at the country that gave him protection and an opportunity for a good life.
It might be politically incorrect to say, but it is just simply true: If you have Muslim migration to your country, you will get Islamic terrorism at some point in time.
This bit (below) in the Scallywag and Vagabondstory was very very interesting and mirrors the huge mistake the UK is making as well. The US is making it too!
If ‘refugees,’ who have sought protection (from persecution) in a western country, return (for a little visit) to the hellhole they supposedly escaped, they should simply not be permitted to return to the good life in western civilization (in Europe, in the UK, in Australia, in America).
Khaye had escaped jail time in a previous foiled attack and went on a trip to Somalia for “religious enlightenment”:
At the time prosecutors argued Khayre had travelled to Somalia to look for clerics to give their blessing for the plan.
The man’s legal team argued that he was looking for religious enlightenment and harbored no plan to wage jihad in Australia.
Khayre’s uncle told The Sydney Morning Herald that he believed his nephew’s 2009 trip abroad was when the ‘weapons and military training may have happened.’
It is true, in spite of the Leftwing media campaign to say it isn’t—refugees commit crimes and acts of terror, in Europe, in Australia and in America. Two countries, so far, that refuse refugees from Muslim countries—Poland and Japan—do not have this problem.
For new readers, one last thing! The Trump Administration (Trump’s DOS and DHS) is on the verge of accepting as many as 1,250 failed asylum seekers (Australia does not want them!), held in detention on offshore islands. They tried to reach Australia by boat and hail from the following countries: Iran, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, and Sudan (4 of those countries are on Trump’s original travel ban list).
See my Australia category(200 previous posts!) for more on Australia’s Muslim migrant problems and that “dumb deal.”
I completely missed this news earlier in the month, so thanks to Creeping Sharia for posting it.
And, I should have seen it since I have been writing about Mohamed Mohamud recently. See ten Islamic refugee terror attacks/foiled plotshere. I wrote that post because I was sick of hearing refugee industry advocates say there have been no US refugees involved in terror attacks. The fact that this one fell short of his goal to kill innocents seems to have escaped them. What! It doesn’t count if you don’t succeed!
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A federal appeals court has upheld the conviction of Mohamed Mohamud, the Somali American sentenced to 30 years in prison for plotting to bomb downtown Portland during the annual lighting of a Christmas tree.
The truck bomb was a fake given to him in 2010 by undercover FBI agents posing as terrorists.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Monday that a U.S. District Court judge properly rejected Mohamud’s claim of entrapment. The 50-page opinion states the government’s conduct was quite aggressive, but the sting fell short of a due process violation.
The court also rejected an assertion that the warrantless surveillance of his foreign communications violated his constitutional rights.

Next! How many Somalis have entered the US in the first ten weeks of Fiscal Year 2017. ***Update***here it is.
